For the price very impressive but some shortcomings
For the price they are fantastic and really strong, capable poles with a large number of attachments for all terrain that work well. You could take these up any mountain in the UK, even in winter (with appropriate other winter gear) and not be let down by the strength or quality in my opinion. I've found that once adjusted to a certain height they do stay that height, and the shock absorption system is very welcome and works well. Additionally they are not too large when compacted and fit in a rucksack side bottle pocket no issue (when secured from the top also). I've used them both for ascending/descending as I've a historic ankle injury and they do help me not go over on it again on rocky or uneven ground, as well as taking some load off your knees on longer trips. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because compared to more other poles they have a couple of shortcomings: 1. I find the handles a little uncomfortable on my largish hands on extended use - unless your hand fits the handle profile exactly you will find some part of the handle digs into it somewhere. This is made worse because they use a fairly hard plastic handle instead of cork or foam like others. 2. Similarly, most serious trekking poles have the strap adjustment mechanism where the strap attaches to the handle such that you have nothing digging into your hands, and no fold in the strap that could irritate your hands over a long walk. Here it's a standard plastic buckle midway through the strap that has a tendency to dig in, and also becomes looser over time. 3. These trekking poles must be screwed/unscrewed to adjust the length and if you are average height you will need to extend both sections. This means whenever you want to adjust the length it's 4 lots of unscrewing and screwing to do between the two poles which is a little time consuming and fiddly while trying to hold the other one while on the go. Since the height is ideally adjusted for the ascent, flat, and descent, you can be doing this quite often depending on the trail. Other poles have a quick release system which is much faster to adjust. All in all they're a great starter or emergency pair of poles. If you plan to have them attached to your rucksack 99% of the time in case you roll an ankle, or you're only carrying them to provide support to your trekking pole based tent, they'll be absolutely fine. Similarly if you plan to use them predominantly on the flat and/or for shorter walks of a couple of hours you'll have no issue. And they're cheap enough you can buy them to see if you like walking with poles before shelling out for some slightly more expensive ones.

Lightweight, reliable trekking poles with effective shock absorption and solid locking.
These trekking poles feel solid and well-finished straight from the box, with lightweight aluminium shafts and comfortable, ergonomic grips. The quick-lock mechanism adjusts smoothly and holds firmly without slipping during use. The included straps and carbide tips are well-made and add to the overall sense of quality. On the trail and out and about, the anti-shock system noticeably reduces impact on descents, making long walks and uneven terrain more comfortable. They collapse and extend easily to suit varied step lengths, and the poles balance well without feeling unwieldy. Whether walking, hiking or backpacking, they provide stable support and confidence underfoot. After repeated outings, the locks remain secure and the poles show minimal wear, even in wet or muddy conditions. For the price, they offer strong performance and durability compared with many basic poles. A dependable choice for regular walkers and weekend hikers alike.

Lightweight Easy to use but …
I purchased these poles as I wanted something to aid my balance. I only use one pole. I found the poles to be very lightweight so no aching arm & very easy to adjust to the right size - just twist & lock. The fact that they are telescopic also makes them a good pole for packing away when not needed. I have used the poles on both standard pavements & field walking. The sprung mechanism certainly helps reduce jarring, particularly on hard surfaces. However 2 things I have found disappointing are that the primary handle (at the top) despite being described as rubber is a very hard and unforgiving material so after an hour of using the pole on a playing field whilst walking my dog, my hand was quite sore. This wasn’t such an issue on pavement walking so I can only assume the more uneven surfaces cause this problem. Also, the rubber foot comes off with alarmingly little effort. The first time it happened I had accidentally caught the end with my little finger & it fell off. The second time it was pulled off when I walked over a small muddy patch. It hasn’t happened since but I make absolute sure that I have pushed down hard on the pole before I start and lean on the pole whenever I’m out, but it’s now always in the back of my mind. The primary rubber handle is not moisture wicking & I’ve found that it gets slippery when damp or wet. The secondary handle, made of softer foam material doesn’t seem to have this problem but if you’re intending on operating from the top of the pole, sweaty palms, rain or snow may become an issue for you. I would suggest to anyone who gets these poles to have a practice walk before using them so you can get into a proper rhythm. Overall would I recommend them? Yes, if you’re looking for an alternative to a walking stick for pavement walking & only if you’re relatively stable due to the primary handle becoming slippery. If you’re thinking of using these poles for field walking & hiking off-road, I’d say either look at the newer version of this pole (which I haven’t tried) or something else. To finish on a positive, the wrist strap is great compared to some other brands I’ve tried and helps to keep hold of the pole whilst opening doors, pushing buttons at crossings etc. I will be continuing to use mine but with an eye to getting something better when I can afford to.

Sturdy well priced walking poles
Good sturdy walking poles, found them easy to adjust and use. I had forgotten my expensive poles which are very light! These were fine and I used them a lot walking through the woods.

LIGEREZA Y TRANSPORTABILIDAD
Me han encantado, por el poco espacio que usan plegados. Pueden meterlo en los bolsillos laterales de la mochila. Resistentes y muy prácticos. Una buena compra.
