Works very well, found my leaks
I was specifically looking for a product that did the following: - used electronic method for finding leaks; I despise using soap or ultraviolet - used one of the following electronic methods: Corona; heated diode; ultrasonic - uses normal batteries (this one uses 4 AAA); some models use C batteries which I don't have a recharging system for This one uses the Corona method which means: "The instrument uses two electrodes with a current of a known baseline passing between the two electrodes. If there’s a leak present, the refrigerant will pass through the electrodes and, in turn, interfere with it (it causes a drop in the current). The drop in current will sound an alarm. The more the interference, the higher the concentration and the larger the refrigerant leak." It's a tried and true method. I was able to easily find my leaks with this product. You must let the product "heat up" for about 10 seconds before you use it. Just turn it on, and hang out for 10 seconds. Finally, the unit beeps all the time...maybe about once a second...while it's in detection mode. That might irritate you. It doesn't bother me. If it finds a leak, the beeping speeds up significantly which is easy for my ears to hear. If you don't want to hear it beep all the time which it's detecting, get the newer model that they sell. Costs a little more. Overall, I am very happy with this product. Good bye soap!

Works great, but you need to know where to look for the leak.
I have used this to successfully find refrigerant leaks on 2 different cars. Since the leaks are extremely slow, you have to get the probe very close to the leak. The second leak was found initially using leak detection fluid, I.e., soapy water. I saw a slight bubbling, then put the probe close to it, and the alarm went off. There was a tiny crack in the swaged collar on the compressor discharge hose. I recommend using both the “sniffer” and the leak detection fluid in combination.

Seem to work well
Used this to detect where I have a leak in my MRCOOL ac unit. Found the leak using the tool - fittings not secured properly. I know professionals use much more sensitive and expensive units, but for the cost this seems good value and based on gas prices saved me either a callout charge and further wasted gas Have also used this on my car ac system which I recently refitted - confirm no leaks in the system

Simple and efficient leak detector
Great budget leak detector, the sensitivity settings help pinpoint small leaks!

Believe it or not, it works!
I bought this fully intending to return it. I double checked that I could before ordering it. When it got here I carefully opened it and saved the box. I used it to chase down a leak on a car air conditioning system. I had also put dye in the system, but it was a very slow leak and the dye wasn't telling me where the leak was. This device kept sounding off where a sensor connected to the receiver/dryer. I took the sensor out and replaced the o-ring, and now the system is fixed! My experience with cheaper devices like this tells me to take the batteries out when not in use, because the battery fumes will end up destroying the internals of the device.

It works but not very great.
The beep is very loud and the UV light is useless during the day unless you are in a garage with light off. The sniffer doesn't work as well as i would like. I got this item to try to verify my evaporator core was leaking or if it was and o'ring somewhere. I was able to verify my evap was leaking by sticking the probe into my vent. I could smell the feron on my own but it took about 30 seconds even with the dial maxed out before it started beeping. and after i removed the sensor to fresh air it would no stop beeping, even after i turned it off for 10 mins. I had to disassemble the tip and blow it out, then it finally quit. Also after using it a few other times, it would randomly just start beeping like it detected something falsely. I then noticed inside the probe end under the screw cap, the little spring action tip was not making good contact with the screw on head. I pulled the tip out a little bit and it now makes good contact and had stopped the false alarms. I think this may have been the issue with my first use.

Works like a charm, finally found the leak that has plagued me for a year.
I finally had time to mess with my truck that sat all summer due to an A/C leak. I have replaced EVERY line, compressor and the receiver/drier already. I injected leak dye in the system the last time I tried to find the leak using the black light and glasses method, and was unable to find anything except dye in the high/low connection points. The schrader valves were replaced so I know that was just residual. Recharged the system, left the truck running with the A/C on full tilt. Set the detector to about 3/4 sensitivity and proceeded to check every connection point, crimp, condenser. Found the leak in 5 minutes. Turns out, the low pressure switch was leaking through the connector into the wiring pigtail. $12 dollar switch later and I am back to blowing 34* at the vent. Amazing tool!

You get what you pay for
I normally stay away from really cheap items, but the reviews overall were pretty good so I decided to give it a chance. We used this item twice. The first time it seemed to work ok, but the second time we noticed it was sensing on anything the tip came close to moving air. So now I do not think it actually worked the first time. We took the tip offer making sure everything was clean inside per their instructions. We could just blow near the tip and it would sound the alarm even with the sensitivity on 1. Item description said 1 year warranty. I contacted support since I was outside of my return period, but they just copied and pasted what the description said. It is like speaking to a AI chat bot. Highly disappointed in this purchase. Looks like I got suckered on another cheap "made in China" item. Do not waste your time or money. Not sure the reviews on the item are real or paid for.

Détections gaz pour pas cher
Je confirme , il marche très bien, le bip devient rapide si il detecte, mais faut être prêt de la fuite

Sniffs Out Leaks Like a Bloodhound!
This little gadget is a lifesaver! It detects refrigerant leaks quickly and accurately, saving me from the old soap bubble method. The UV light is a nice touch, though best used in dim lighting. The beeping can be a bit much, but it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind it brings. Highly recommend for both DIYers and pros.

Very bad tester
Water is sensed if there is water in the pipe during gas leak check of AC

Gerät macht einen guten Eindruck.
Das Gerät macht einen guten Eindruck. Allerdings hat es auch bei Wasser und Feuchtigkeit angeschlagen. Ergebnis unklar an der Klimaleitung.
