Neff Oven Lamp Cover Remover Tool. Genuine part number 613634

Couldn't budge the bulb cover no matter how hard i tried. Resorted to buying this gadget. I was expecting to have to use Brute force, how wrong. One quick twist and it was off. A little pointer i picked up off the net, warm your oven a little first before you try. Really impressed!

Brilliant. Worked on my Neff oven....

As other reviewers have said, this is not fit for purpose as it is. It isn’t expensive & had it worked it would have been good value I guess. It was labelled as a genuine Neff part but it didn’t fit firmly on the glass cover & kept slipping. I had thoroughly cleaned and degreased the oven & paid particular attention to the light fitting so there was no grease on the glass. I eventually succeeded by layering kitchen paper over the glass until the plastic cap sat tight on on it & pushed a long screwdriver shaft lengthways along the ridge of the plastic cap to give extra leverage, finally it shifted.

I ordered this at the same time as some replacement oven bulbs, as I know the glass can be difficult to remove. It works fine and does make the job easier, although on this occasion I would not have had a problem getting to the bulb. It's in the drawer now, ready for the next time and I would recommend it to anyone who has had a fight with a bulb cover in the past.

I wonder if there are 2 or more different versions of this product being sold? Some people say it's flimsy & slips off but the one I received was solidly made & worked perfectly first time (The one I ordered was "Neff Oven Lamp Cover Remover Tool. Genuine part number 613634" from SPARES-TO-GO). I'd already tried jam jar openers, rubber gloves, heating the oven first & hitting it with a hammer & piece of wood (which was impossible to achieve because the heating elements completely surround the glass shade on my oven). None of those worked but this tool did (& I didn't even have to heat the oven) I highly reccomend it because my next step would have been calling NEFF for an engineers visit. HOWEVER, there may be inferior versions being sent out. If you get a rubbish one, I suggest sending it back and ordering from a different seller.

This Neff Oven Lamp Cover Remover Tool. was easy to place on the cover but because my oven light cover was so welded on the removing tool just slipped and turned with out grabbing. i used the tool correctly keeping it square and pushed up but alas it was not strong enough. i eventually had to use a short piece of 3x2 and a mallet to knock the cover to loosen it and eventually remove it. i am not saying it wont work with a less sealed not fit ed and tight cover but i found it not fit for purpose.

This glass remover worked the first time. Tried everything I could to do it with no luck. Looking at it it’s just a piece of plastic but yes it worked

Totally useless kept jumping over the lamp glass with no grip🤷‍♂️ Got a pair of builders silicone gloves and managed to get it off Save your money

Die Bewertung sollte sich auf das Tool und den Hersteller/Lieferanten beziehen. Geht man von dem grundlegenden Problem aus , hat der Hersteller "Neff" hier ordentlich verkackt. Was ich in dem Zusammenhang als oberste Frechheit empfinde, ist die Tatsache das dieser Missstand oder Konstruktionsfehler bei Hersteller zur Zeit des Ausliefern bereits bekannt ist. In der Anleitung wird diese Montagehilfe bereits empfohlen. Warum legt man Sie nicht zumindest dem Produkt bei ? 0 Sterne hier für Neff Zum gekauften Produkt/Werkzeug Lieferung, Verpackung, Material soweit 5 Sterne. Lediglich der Halterpunkt in der Mitte stand etwa 2 mm zu tief in der Innenform ( ist mit einem Cutter schnell gekürzt). Das Werkzeug wird nie 100 % auf dem Glas sitzen , das es bei Glas immer Abweichungen in der Passgenauigkeit gibt. ( was im übrigen auch der Fehler in der Konstruktion ist, zu viel Spiel verursacht Verkantungen). Die Lösung ! Nehmen Sie ein Taschentuch und legen Sie es über die Passform und pressen Sie diese nur über das Glas. Das Taschentuch füllt die Hohlräume und verhindert das verrutschen. Ich hoffe dem ein oder anderen geht nun ein Licht auf :-)

This was useless and did not get the light cover off. I did manage to slice my thumb open on the sharp edges around the tool though...
