I have owned 5 singing egg timers by Brainstream since 2016. The current one has worked the longest - 2 years. After a few months (2 - 24 in my experience) the singing component dims and lessens in volume. The egg still works but you can barely hear the song. I wish they had a good battery because we find the service invaluable, we love our egg. The next best thing would be a good warranty with easy return. This seems to be elusive and has me singing Auld Lang Syne.

I've been buying these for years to make my heard boiled eggs. I can hear the music from the other room and this way I don't find out later the water has boiled away and there is just an egg at the bottom, frying. The only downside is you have to buy them every 6-8 mos or so, as the battery goes dead and there is no way to change them.

THE PRODUCT IS VERY HELPFUL FOR BOILING EGGS. LOVED THE LITTLE TUNE WHEN THE EGGS ARE READY

I loved this product for the first 5 times I used it. Then, it just stopped working. My mother had had some for years. I think I got a bad egg. I got an exchange and it has been working great!

It works but floats crooked in the water. My old one floated upright. It works so eggs are cooked the way you like them.
