Probably not unless the 11 year old is fairly advanced. It's mainly just for adults or those maybe 15+

The game provides hints and solutions on the publishers website. The code for the email-box can be found there.

We're looking to play this with our staff of 12. Is that too many people for this game?

Yes, 12 are too many by far for a single game. I would say 2 to 4, maybe 5 but no more than that. The game is broken down into three phases and each starts with each player reading all the materials the materials. Then the analysis, cross-referencing etc. If you are willing to break the group of 12 into 4 groups of three and have three copies, teams can share the experience, maybe even compete. The phases create natural breaks after about 2hrs and about another hour before the final resolution is needed after another 1.5 to 2 hrs. Note that each group will need at least one computer with internet access to play.
