Smoothstay Coconut Oil-Infused Hair Straightener - RVST2211P

I bought these to replace my old GHD's that had lost their umph. They are better than my old ones ever were for a fraction of the price. I don't need to use so much product on my hair and they straighten my thick curly hair with only one or two passes.

My 12 year old GHD’s sadly gave up the ghost. I decided to try a different make after reading the reviews of this one and I’m so glad I decided to buy them. They heat up super quickly and glide through your hair. They do have a slight smell of coconut because they are infused with the oil. My hair is so nice and soft and glossy after using them and my day 2 hair is also much better than before. I have shoulder length fine hair and blow dry to add volume. My GHD’s would often straighten my hair to the point that it was straight but flat. These new ones keep that volume in my hair all day. They are great for straightening and adding a bit of curl to the ends. My hair isn’t long enough for a full curl, but I’d imagine you’d get a good curl from them with longer hair. All in all I love these straighteners and kind of glad my GHD’s gave up for ghost.

I'm going on holiday and noticed my old straighteners didn't say if they were worldwide so I decided just to get a cheap pair especially for travelling. I tried some remingtons and they were awful, snagged and nipped at my hand. So I returned them and went for these. These are so much better! No snagging at all, plus they're really easy to curl with. I've used remington for maybe 20 years but revlon will be my go to now. I'm even considering ditching my curling wand and just taking the straighteners. They don't do anything fancy but it's all I need, they're super light and the storage pouch is pretty substantial given the price. I struggled to use the lock clasp a bit which is a minor annoyance but it might become less stiff with time and it's very insignificant anyway. So glad I didn't spend any more than I needed!

A plastic clip from the base of where the electric cable attaches to the straightener has fallen apart. Yes, the item has been treated gently and never been dropped. I just heard the bits dropping to the floor as I was straightening my (above shoulder length) bobbed hair. The product straightens OK, hopefully they're still safe to use.

Amazing, exactly as described. It leaves my hair very smooth.
