Perfect for chicken protection.
This is perfect if your wanting to protect your chickens from birds. Durable. Was it easy to put up? Absolutely not, however I don't think any net actually would be. It's packaged very well, not tangled up and unravels easily for easy setup. However do not let it touch the ground! Every single leaf and stick will get tangled in it. But if you can get through that you've got it made. Highly recommend. It blends nicely into the scenery. Easy to cut to desired length. And the size I got is about the size hole of chicken wire so you really could use it to entirely enclosed your chicken run with it. Dual purpose.

Excellent value for hawk protection!
We love this! It was a little hard to put up but does the trick really well! We strung it across our existing wire livestock type fence and supported the center with a tree trunk and dug a hole for the tree to stabilize. Itโs not exactly fancy looking but it keeps our chickens safe from hawks!

When cheap is too cheap
The threads are way too thin. The thin threading makes this far too difficult to work with, tangles easy and will not hold up to any kind of weather. Spend more money and get something else.

Huge solid net
Huge! Solid netting, it is an absolute pain to unravel and get set up but is fantastic once it is up. It will catch on absolutely everything, so have a good plan for getting it up.

Tangles up on EVERYTHING, but it's tough
I ordered this to go over my chicken run that's ~40ft x 20ft to help shield them from hawks and owls. I read a lot of the reviews ahead of time so knew to watch out for tangling and only unroll what I needed. I set it out the width of the run and immediately tied and cut off the section of net I knew I wouldn't need before I started to unroll it. There's no way to properly express (like the other reviews) just how much this net gets tangled on anything it touches. I planned an hour to cover the run and it took just over that because every twig, leaf, and blade of grass got tangled in this thing. The biggest headache was starting over a gutter system because this was tangled for all eternity on every part of the gutter. Every millimeter high lip caused it to snag. Hindsight, I should have laid a tarp down over everything this net needed to cover... but I'm sure somehow it would've gotten tangled in that. I'm super happy with the netting though. I've had a lot of cottonwood branches fall on it with no damage. It tangled in EVERYTHING during installation and none of the squares tore. I knew the installation would be rough and planned time for it accordingly, but it's been a dream since then so I'm not upset at all. I plan on using more of it to make additional chicken areas around my property. I added a couple temporary vertical posts to help keep the height up (still snags peoples' hats off) and after a few weeks it's still as taught and unbroken as day 1.

Poultry Netting does netting things
It does what it needs to once it's up -- but actually getting it up will be a major challenge in "real" yards that have things like... grass, bushes, flowers. It will catch and snag on every single microscopic board splinter, every tiny frayed end of chicken wire. To say that a single 2-inch twig will completely prevent the netting from unrolling properly is not an exaggeration. Don't put this up thinking you'll wear clothing with small buttons or glasses. NOT a 1-person job. Not even really a 2 person job, either. On the plus side, the nylon is very strong and not prone to breakage. I got this net to replace one that had deteriorated after about 5 years of use. It's easy to patch and becomes virtually invisible once up. As others have pointed out, this net is a BIRD KILLER if you do not secure it taut and in a way that birds cannot actually walk into any part of it. I've had ducks and geese pick at this stuff and get it wrapped around their tongues as well. So if you have excess netting, bind it tightly up out of reach or cut it off!
