I’m a huge fan of Martha Stewart’s baking recipes and have a number of her cookbooks. In fact, I own over 500 cookbooks from a range of authors and this is one of my favorites (I prefer it to the newer Cookie Perfection by Martha Stewart). It’s an extensive collection of recipes, including global influences, & along with cookies, includes traybake recipes such as brownies (the incredible Double Choc Brownie recipe alone is worth purchasing the book for) & will forever be one of my go-tos. All of the recipes I’ve tried have been wonderful, with special mention to the best ever Choc Chip Cookie recipe! The fortune cookies were a challenge to make but still successful. Other recipes I’ve tried include the Peanut Crisps, PBJ bars (high quantity of the ingredients is needed), Dried Cranberry Shortbread Hearts (quick & easy), Sugar Cookie Cutouts, Lemon Squares, Cream Cheese Swirl Blondies and Prune Rugelach.

I challenge anyone to pick up this book and not start trying the recipes straightaway. I've read other reviews saying the book arrived this morning and I've already tried two of them. So have I. They all come out so good, I'm always looking for the next one. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the book for you. Or maybe it isn't...books like this are dangerous!!!

Good basic recipes and some unusual ones too. It can be quite a pain using 'cups' to measure everything though. Lots of American terms used (Canola Oil is Rapeseed Oil) but once you get your head around that, there are some amazing cookies in this book (Oatmeal & Raisin are the best you'll taste) and some lovely ideas for how to present them as gifts.

Like all the Martha Stewart Books I own this is a great one. It has so many unusual recipes with the most beautiful pictures, the only downside is deciding which to make first! As a warning, each recipe makes LOADS of cookies so it might be worth halving the recipe so you don't end up using all your butter and eggs, or eating the whole lot in one sitting! I would highly recommend this book to anyone, especially if you need ideas for edible gifts, there's something for everyone and these are not your average cookies :-)

This is the only book on Cookies you will ever need. The book is not only packed with wonderful reliable recipes but is also beautiful. The choice of recipes is enormous and I can never decide which cookies to bake. There is no problem with American measurement it's easy to buy a set of cups (say from Amazon) and convert "sticks" in a matter of seconds. I have baked 1/3 cookies from the book and had no problems with either the ingredients or measurement. Highly recommend!!

Having bought this book as a present for my daughter , I have had the pleasure of sampling the results. I can honestly say that the soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies are the nicest I have every had. The photographs are superb and the recipes very easy to follow. Go on treat yourself!
