The author does a good job in presenting complex technical information with a step by step approach. The illustrations are colorful and instructive. Also serves as a good reference book when Prepping for a new project. The topical index At the end of the book is a valuable source when checking on a key bit of info. A very professional and thoughtful work.

Lovely Watercolor Painting book! Filled with lots of beautiful watercolor illustrations from nature, , projects and pages of examples and details regarding watercolor techniques. Also provides solid suggestions for watercolor painting supplies! Great investment for anyone interested in painting with watercolor!

I bought this book because the cover was beautiful, the colors were peaceful and autumn-like, and based on the few preview images the rest of the content looked promising too. Now that I have had it for a few weeks, including selecting it as the only watercolor book to cart with me on a resent vacation trip, I can say it has become one of my favorites! All of the images throughout in the book are beautiful, plus the author has been thorough in her process of giving a well rounded instruction on both watercolor techniques as well as design composition. For my trip, I brought with me only 4 colors of watercolor paint (all Daniel Smith from Michael's crafts, small 5ml tubes :: quinacridone purple, quinacridone burnt orange, phthalo blue GS, and phthalo green BS) and with just those 4 colors, I was able to mix many colors which pretty much matched the look and feel of those in the author's designs. Great book!

This book is heartwarming and full of great ideas and inspiration. It’s like wearing your favorite robe and slippers. There’s so much peace and harmony. HIghly recommend!

Cute water color book. Has some great basic techniques.

I probably should have read the description better, but I thought this would be an activity work book with lessons and pages that you could use to apply the lessons. It is not.

I enjoy looking at this book often. Lots of good ideas in here too. well done.

This book has everything you would want to know about painting flowers in watercolour. The appropriate strokes, colour mixing, composition techniques,etc. What makes the flowers in the book interesting are their unusual and somewhat moody, autumnal hues. It is quite charming (and atleast for me a little other-worldly in positive terms). Is useful for gathering ideas on elegant card-making and creating beautiful masterpiece florals on the walls, both. I adore the presentation( very compact )and the matted yet textured feel of the cover. With practice, even above-intermediate level artists like me( i still find it difficult to paint florals though) would benefit from the author's advice and tips. Nevertheless this book caters to all skill levels. Refreshing, truly motivational and highly recommended ! A cup of tea, my watercolour setup alongside this book goes a long long way ( with a seed of imagination ofcourse) to paint the flowers I dreamt of painting.

Dipingo già da quasi quattro anni, da autodidatta, e devo dire che questo testo mi è molto utile. Non è per principianti assoluti infatti, ma per chi come me vuole continuare a sperimentare per imparare. Quando lo si sfoglia sembra che i dipinti siano alla portata di chiunque, anche con poca conoscenza della tecnica . In realtà è un approccio unico e non semplice, per l'uso del tratto, la ricerca dell'armonia del colore, l'attesa del momento più giusto perché due colori si fondano sulla carta creando fioriture preziose. E soprattutto, come dice il titolo, è un invito alla calma , a lasciar fluire i pensieri insieme ai colori, a distendere la mano e l'anima...
