High quality safety wire pliers that make safety wiring enjoyable...ok, not enjoyable, but far less painful!
Look in the tool box of any motorcycle roadracer, and you'll find a pair of safety wire pliers and usually it's a pair of the inexpensive kind because racing isn't cheap and what better place to save a few dollars than on a mission-critical tool that you'll use multiple times every race weekend? When I first started racing, I wrestled with a pair of el-cheapo pliers that slipped, refused to lock, or otherwise made me question how much money I had actually saved by buying the damn things. Fast forward 15 years and, while I'm not as fast as I was, I do have a significantly better budget and enough acquired wisdom to realize that nothing is more expensive than a cheap tool. Enter the Milbar pliers! While these cost about 7x as much as my first pair, they are easily 20x better. The knurling on the inside of the jaws is far superior, allowing the pliers to obtain a better bite on safety wire; having the things pop off in mid-twist is a thing of the past. The locking mechanism itself requires less effort and drops into place with a solid feel that clearly communicates that the mechanism is engaged. The cutting portion of the jaws is strong and sharp and always results in a quick, clean cut; my old pliers would "chew" the wire, usually necessitating several attempts to cut the wire. The shape of the outer jaws makes crimping and rolling sharp wire ends a breeze. The standout feature is the reverse mechanism - this is great for wiring consecutive sections across multiple bolts where a reverse twist is required or for quickly removing long sections of wire that is already twisted. Do yourself a favor. Spend the extra money, buy these pliers once, and never look back at the grief and pain that cheap pliers would have brought you. Or replace the el-cheapos with these and you'll dread wiring that new racebike a lot less than you were anticipating.

Good product.
If you need to connect two wires, that what you need despite it a little pricy.

Broken before using
I have purchased these months before my AMT school started and haven't touched them and the moment when I'm trying to complete a project with them they don't work and my shop manager told me they were broken...lucky for me they had an extra pair I could just to get the job done but will not recommend these to anyone....now I have to go out and spend more money to replace something that I didn't even get to use.

Quality pliers
Bought these to replace single direction pliers. They’re a little stiff, hard to open with one hand and the groove to “tuck” the tail into a nice bend is smaller than my old pliers which causes frustration, I’m sure I’ll get over that some day. The cutting portion is not as sharp as my old pliers and it’s often easier to bring a pair of cutters with me instead of relying on the twist pliers to cut tails. They do what they’re intended to do though so I’m happy with them.

Love it
I like milbar. Im an aircraft tech and this size works great in tight quarters. I have had the original long ones for 20 years and still use daily. Hopefully this new spring loaded reversible one will hold up. I heard they can break over time but for the money, I hope mine won’t.

Good tool
This is far and away a better tool than what you get from the speed shop catalogs, but it's not perfect. Sometimes it feels notchy, like something isn't lined up quite right. As I use it more, this seems to be going away. (I've been using this tool for 6 months or so and have wire tied 100-150 sets of bolts)

Milbar are better than the rest
Best price for the best safety wire pliers. We use them a lot, and these hold up longer than the other ones we have tried. They are stiff at first, but that is normal for a good tool. A little lube and open and close them several times, and they loosen up. They cut well, and the jaws hold the wires nicely. I would recommend these pliers to others.

Problem with selection sleeve.
Worked excellently, until the sleeve to select clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation began to slip out of the selection chosen. Still gets the job done quickly.

It's the gold standard of lockwire twisters. They are stiff/bind at first but once broken in they work smoothly. Stanley-Proto and Milbar are the only guys who make lockwire pliers for professional use. Both are very similar so you can't go wrong with either brand. For me living in Canada these were cheaper then the Stanley-Proto and had prime.
