Fashion Illustration by Fashion Designers is a beautifully put together book from its contents to the cover. I am a student studying Fashion Illustration and this book gives great insight to how individual designers bring their ideas, designs and visions together on paper. Which in turn really opens your eyes to the difference between an illustrator and a designer. The book also gives a brief biography of each designer and a contact page to find websites. You could get lost in the book for hours just flicking through the imagery. The only down side was wanting to see more from each designers work, but a book can only be so big! A very good buy!

From the classically trained drawing skills to the uniquely stylized,personal work to a few using the computer.Most of the work looks hand drawn with energy and passion. A welcome change from the many books showcasing cold, high-tech-HACK work with no individuality.This is not a How-to-draw-fashion book (and thank god!) for there are far too many of those HACK-books: dreadfully boring, mediocre, unstylish and uninspiring books that never seems to be in touch with ANY kind fashion. This is the kind of book that really inspires a fashion professional or student.The cover seems a very odd choice considering all the knock-out art inside. Alot of people have mentioned they would never be attracted to open the book based on the cover.

To all the aspiring fashion designers, illustrators, and hipsters... this is a beautiful book to own. I love it so much, it is such a great look at how fashion designers see their creations. Art can be anything, even a sketch of what you think people should wear. I highly approve of this purchase, along with a new pair of shoes.

Really beautiful fashion illustrations both to look at and to gain inspiration if developing personal style.Not technical drawings. It's not going to show you how to draw the anatomy of the figure perfectly or give you design ideas, but inspire drawing technique/use of line.
