Could have considered it brand new, and most people wouldn't have known the difference.
Sony A7RV - Renewed.Camera came in the original packaging, with original OEM parts (strap, battery, charger, etc.) - Sometimes when you buy used, you end up with third party things and not the original packaging. In this case, it was delivered.The device is flawless, powered on just fine, no visible wear/tear, only minor scuffs around the lens ring, but this is not a problem to me. The sensor is fine, the device is in perfect condition otherwise. Screen is clear, sensor is clean.Everything functions, all of the button's work, it registers different lens just fine, and I've already used it a handful of times for client work. The autofocus feature is lightning fast!No overheating, no secondhand smoke smell, no apparent issues so far.The only drawback to how great this camera is, is simply how much storage space it needs with that 62mp pictures!

Great camera
Absolutely an amazing camera. I’m fairly certain it is a grey market item, but I’ll take the $700 savings over buying anywhere else. As for warranty, I have insurance for a reason. This camera is incredible and far and above worth the price point.

Great deal on a perfect condition item
This item included all original packaging and equipment (save the full instruction manual, which I don't know, maybe Sony is only publishing the online manuals and providing the QR code with the link, which WAS included). Some other reviewers have noted that the product they received was from a different region, or "grey market". In my case, I was able to successfully register the product to the Sony website in my region (USA), and even purchase an extended warranty for it from Sony, very satisfied about that. I also verified the shutter count on the EXIF data, and it turns out the first photos I took with this camera were the first activity on the shutter. It seems this product was actually brand new, probably not able to be advertised as such by the seller for legal reasons. A phenomenal deal! I also appreciate the fact that the seller ordered overnight shipping from FedEx and required a signature. I wasn't home the first time they attempted delivery, and it would have been a travesty to have an item like this just sitting on my porch, especially with the lithium battery shipping label advertising the expensive electronics in the box.

Disappointed
This camera is surprisingly heavy and not very user-friendly. The focus isn't nearly as sharp or reliable as I expected, especially given the high price. What really killed it for me was the clunky connection software and painfully slow photo upload time. After years of being loyal to Sony, I'm seriously considering switching to Canon. Just not worth the hassle this time

Latest model renewed camera works fine!
Best camera for landscape photography. A bit heavy, but very high resolution (61 Mp). Takes DSLR lenses with converter. Can do automatic focus stacks and exposure bracketing. Lots of choices for mirrorless lenses: Sony, Tamron, Laowa, Sigma, etc. Renewed camera works like new, no issues yet...

"Grey Market" but registered fine
(Purchased from 6ave Amazon renewed store) This does appear to be a "grey market" camera, was set to PAL, and the battery charger was very different than my American version, but I was able to register the product with Sony and get a 1 year "Protect Promo". Other than that, it was a new camera, the box was open, but that was to be expected, it came with all the expected accessories in the correct Sony box. Will update if anything changes.
