Very Pleased
Review of "3 Section Trade Ladder 10 Rung- (ELT330)".Very pleased with the purchase. Rungs wide and comfortable, ladder stable in use. Seems good value for money. The ladder is rated for 150kg. Some cheaper ladders are only rated for 95kg or so.Ladder not too heavy to move around.Went for the shorter 3 section to give more flexibility in terms of storage space and maximum height. The specification says the ladder maximum height is 6.85m. On measuring the ladder this is case with a three rung overall when the ladder is extended. Nothing to say you have to a three rung overall, a two rung overlap often seems to used be for for a ladder of this length. I am not saying one should use a less than a three rung overlap, but I couldn't see anything to say what the minimum rung overlap should be. Generally more rung overlap gives more ladder stiffness. The details don't give the maximum height if you just use two sections. My measurements were:2 ladder max length (3 rung overlap) 4.88m2 ladder max length (2 rung overlap) 5.1 m3 ladder max length (3 rung overlap) 6.83m3 ladder max length (2 rung overlap) 7.4 mThe closed length of the ladder was 2.92mAlso bought a ladder stand-off, with a "V Shape" in the middle to go over drain pipes etc. I believe this also probably helped give the ladder more of a stable feel in use, and made it easier to use as it holds the top of the ladder a short distance off of the wall.

Definitely recommended!
Really pleased with this. I got it because we have a leak in the roof and I knew the gutters needed cleaning out. Once I got up to the roof, I decided to take the gutters down and put UPVC fascias up as well. I spent the weekend going up and down this ladder many, many times, and moving it in between. The ladder was solid with very little bounce so I felt completely secure. It's heavy. But then it's 3 sections and sturdy so it was never going to be light. Anyone not used to handling ladders, my tip would be to take the ladder down as far as possible if you're moving it or the centre of gravity is way too high - not a fault of this ladder.I even extended this up quite a long way with a stand-off to get it above the roof line and it still felt very secure.I'd definitely recommend this. The only negative was the courier that delivered it from Tuffnells. My 16 year old step-son was the only one in when it arrived. The driver basically showed him where it was on the back of the lorry and got back in his cab. This meant my step-son having to unload it and carry it on his own. Not that's it's hard to move around but I would have thought the guy might have given him a hand.

cost-effective way to be “at the top of the world”!
It's a simple & safe (to my reasoning), well fabricated & assembled, aluminium extension ladder. The frame width is quite generous & allows for a comfortable stance, even up high - & i loathe heights! Each section IS long at 2.97m but, i just managed to squeeze all three sections into a Citroen C5 so, it suits me (although perhaps a roof-rack next time). One pays ones money & takes ones choice, I suppose.

Yes they may arrive dirty with some scratches/nicks on
This is because they are hulking great big ladders, making, testing, moving and storing them is going to do this.As ladders they are quite solid with my 100KG. They are not especially light but...they are triple ladders...Certainly ideal for light trade use, and very suited to the DIYer, giving a very solid platform. They can come apart, great if you just need the one.Measured them at just over 20CM stacked depth and a bit under 20KG in weight, so you'll need proper brackets for wall storage.

Does the job
Item should last a long time, although it arrived with dented tread. It's reasonably light to carry and looks like the sections can be easily removed if required. Treads feel sturdy when in use. Have used this ladder to inspect my guttering so far, with the aim of eventually painting the outside of the house. Not overly impressed when extending / lowering, it seems to get caught up rather easily. Average ladder.

Impressed. The reach exceeded my expectations and easily got me up to the guttering which I'd estimated at 6 meters. It also feels solid, certainly more than my 2 section ladder that just didn't reach high enough. Comparing the two, I'm pleased I made the right choice to buy this trade ladder. Only downside is that it weighs a lot more, but after some experience, I managed to figure out the most efficient way to raise. Overall, would recommend.

Good ladder but wouldn't use it fully extended
Seems like a good ladder. I could be wrong but I'm not 100% convinced that the extension brackets are strong enough to hold the ladder together fully extended at anything less than a very steep angle. They are literally only small angled pieces of aluminium and aren't a very tight fit. I could be wrong though I've never been brave enough to climb that high on it.

the ladders are very light and sturdy. They're quite manageable to handle for one man
Had a few issues with late delivery, but contacted the seller who were first rate and the ladders were delivered a day later. the ladders are very light and sturdy. They're quite manageable to handle for one man. A good product for the price and much cheaper than other retailers.
