Minky X Wing 15m Clothes Airer, Holds Up to 15kg, Hanger Corners

I found that this Airer was perfect for hanging lots of washing. It was quite sturdy and had special holes in each corner to hang hangers for some items that you dont want creased. Plenty of space for T shirts and undies and easy to put up and collapse to put away. I was very impressed with this compared to some other ones I had looked at.

Having read all the reviews I finally purchased this dryer and now wonder how I managed without it. Very flexible in how you use it and the ability to adjust the height of the side wings is very handy for hanging up long items or drying items flat. Sturdy and very easy to use, I would recommend it to anyone. Great value too.

Easily the best airer I've used and very durable

We had a Minky airer for years so thought we’d get another one- really disappointed with the new one. It is quite tricky to put up, they’ve changed the simple metal mechanism to a plastic one, can’t see it lasting very long. The bars are quite thin too and I’m sure will bend with heavy use. Time will tell.

Just about to replace this airer with another (probably go for the "Xtra" this time). It has lasted 15 years of heavy use so I can't complain. The long term weakness is the plastic bits which become brittle with time. I recommend pre-emptive maintenance by wrapping some parts in duct tape to strengthen - see photo.

I ordered this Minky airer as I had been very pleased with a previous purchase of a Minky Airer and needed a second one. Unfortunately, the one I received was a much lighter weight and inferior product. The design is almost identical but lacks the 4 corner feet and has a metal finish rather than the white paint finish of my previous purchase. The item is also less stable than my original Minky airer. Also the two upper plastic hinges are less robust. To be honest, I'm not sure if this has been a design change by MINKY to reduce costs, or perhaps that there are two distinct models available. Design is great and folds down to easily fit under bed etc. My advice is to avoid the lighter weight model and seek out the more sturdy product with the lighter blue plastic fittings even if it costs a little more. Unfortunately, its not easy to see the difference on website fotos which is the mistake I made. I will be replacing my most recent purchase as soon as I can locate a supplier. The local charity shop benefiting from my mistake

I'm using a Panda Small Mini Portable Compact Washer Washing Machine 5.5lbs Capacity and Centrifugal Clothes Portable Spin Dryer to manage my laundry at home in a small apartment. This Minky drying rack is a great addition to my little cleaning team as it opens up in a variety of shapes that make great use of the small space I have allotted for it in the bathroom. I can place it in the tub and use it with the "wings" either up or down depending on the size of the load. Multiple ways to configure it also makes it easy to hide the whole works behind the shower curtain if company is coming. Very well designed and executed: comes fully assembled = no rungs falling apart every time! The spaces between the rungs are pretty generous, giving good air flow for quicker drying. The width works great for my XL tee shirts without bunching them up. Easy to adjust the arms into the various positions, very similar to how many poolside lounge chairs work. Sturdy metal with quality plastic accents, feels substantial. Has a one year warranty and I like that the manufacturer puts their customer service telephone number right here in the product listing. This is one of those few and far between purchases that I don't have a single quibble to report. I've seen similar styles priced at about twice as much and some that are cheaper but with Minky's first rate design and solid/quality build I feel definitely feel got my money's worth.

Not same quality as old days

I have been using the product for about two months and I like it a lot. I have saved a lot on my electricity bill because I have significantly reduced the use of the dryer, as this drying rack is big enough to handle all my laundry. It is not heavy, so it is easy to move around, and it fits perfectly between the wall and my washer, saving lots of room. It definitely meets my expectations and it is easy to use.

Il est très bien, plusieurs configurations possibles selon la quantité de linge à sécher. Il est parfait pour l'intérieur. Aucun problème pour l'extérieur au printemps et en été. Par contre, il paraît quand même un peu fragile pour résister à des températures plus fraiches (mais de tout façon, qui sèche son linge à l'extérieur en hiver ?...). J'hésite à en acheter un deuxième tant je suis satisfait.

I had this same clothes horse when I was living in Europe and was so glad to see I could get the same one over here. Before I was using an airer from Ikea that is similarly priced but is much lower in quality. It is well made and sturdy, and doesn't make a racket rattling about all over the place when you try to move it. The arm heights are adjustable from pretty much horizontal to fairly straight up in the air. You can also have it set up so that it makes a triangle shape with the arms folded down, so it can fit over the bath. This makes it useful for drying sheets since you can just drape them over the arms while they are raised to the highest height. This would also be useful for somebody who wants to speed up the drying by putting the clothes on the arms and draping a sheet over it with a fan underneath. The plastic caps on the ends also have holes where you can hook a hanger thorough to dry stuff like dress shirts as well. It being so sturdy also means it can be easily taken outside and moved around the house so it is out of the way. (Also, one useful tip I've found to get the clothes to dry faster is to do an extra spin cycle on the washer before hanging them out). One thing I really appreciate is that the arms are a good distance apart as well. On most racks I find I have to skip every other rung in order to leave space for the air to flow between the clothes but on this one I don't need to do that. You can fit roughly one adult size shirt or trousers per rung. I think there are 14 rungs across the top with probably 12 on the bottom two legs (however the last one or two rungs are really only good for small things. Overall this is a good clothes horse that I think would work well for most people's drying needs. If you routinely need to dry very large or several loads of laundry at once I would suggest getting more than one. Also I noticed on the package when this arrived that this brand has one of those royal warrant to the queen stamps meaning it supplies the UK royal family so that is a nice touch if it's the sort of thing you care about.
