Very impressive
My first criteria for a portable keyboard was price, I wanted cheap because I didn’t want to spend too much on something I might not use too often. The LBOD keyboard cost a little more than I was looking to pay, but the images and review showed it to be a nifty keyboard, compared to cheaper models.Upon receipt, I was immediately impressed with the tri-fold design. There is something decidedly ingenious about the way the keyboard just folds out into a slightly smaller than full-size laptop keyboard, and once opened, you can barely tell it’s fold-away.I use an iPhone 8 Plus with iOS 11 and connecting was very easy. The keyboard had no charge on delivery, but after around 5 minutes plugged in, I could power it on whilst still charging. The charging connection, for me, could have been better placed. The shape to the rear of the device is such that the housing of the charging cable looks like it’s not fitting properly, however this does not seem to prevent successful charging and it seems to hold securely enough.Following the instructions to connect was simple enough and it has kept it’s connection since, disconnecting when folded away and reconnecting within 1-3 seconds of opening. The keyboard will enter ‘sleep mode’ after 15 minutes of inactivity whilst left open to preserve battery life, but reconnects quickly after pressing any of the keys. I have not had the device long enough to know what the battery life is like between charges. The feel of the keys whilst typing is good, again better than expected for a portable device. If looked after, I can see the keys lasting for a long time. The layout is very similar to my MacBook Pro, and despite the key icons being for US layout, it so far seems to be Apple UK layout, for example, the £ symbol can be accessed using Shift + 3 though the key shows #, which is accessed with Alt + 3. One issue I do have with the layout is the right-hand Shift. It’s smaller than standard, and next to the Up arrow, which often means I accidentally hit the Up button through a paragraph and end up typing halfway through a word in the line above. I feel if the ? key was as narrow as the other keys, the shift could have benefitted from being wider. An additional tip if using iOS and need to access Emoji, Ctrl + Space swaps between keyboards when in a text field, but you still need to use the touchscreen of the phone to select which you want. Reading up on all keyboards, this appears to be the case for iOS.Two grumbles about the design of the rear I must mention. The shape of the back raises the keyboard up slightly at the point of the hinges, above the 3 and 0 keys running down over. This leaves everything to the left of the 3 and right of the 0 floating a few millimetres off the desk. As such, pressing the keys there cause the device to lift very slightly if not counterweighted with fingers on the other side. It doesn’t affect useability, but the difference in stability compared to a full-size keyboard is very noticeable. The second grumble is when using on a polished surface like a table, the device is prone to sliding. Fortunately my desk has a metal cover, and the magnets which hold the device closed provide enough strength to keep the keyboard in place. Using elsewhere may take a little getting used to, but it’s not designed for me to use as a full-time replacement for my laptop. The protective case is very handy. Wrapping around and closing with magnets it offers sturdy protection, whilst doubling up as a phone or tablet stand, catering for varying thicknesses and angles with a handy sliding drawer to extend. Being magnets which hold the case in position, I do not know how it will fair with heavier devices.Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase, and the negatives don’t cause enough of a problem to deduct any stars from the rating. I highly recommend this little keyboard.Edit: I forgot to mention, I typed this entire review using my iPhone and this keyboard. No issues at all.

Cute and very useful little travel keyboard i use daily now. Recommended.
I bought this on a whim as i was sick of tapping away at the tiny on screen keyboard on my phone. It was in a lightning deal but if i had known how good this was, i would have paid more. I have an iphone 6 plus and the keyboard, folded up and placed in the case, is only a little thicker and a little larger than the phone. The keys are plastic but have a good travel distance and once you are used to typing on them, it makes for much much faster responses to e-mails, texts and typing reviews. I am using the keyboard to enter this review and it is almost as easy as using my full Pc set up. Plus points are that it comes in a nice case, it has a metal, hard wearing folding jacket to the keyboard and that once paired, it connects to my phone as soon as i open the keyboard... I've charged it once and it has not required charging since in about a week of daily use. I think it's great. I use it in meetings at work as well as personal use. Ddownsides: the shift key at the right hand side is awkardly placed and will take some time to get used to for me; the number line at the top of the keyboard is offset so you have to bear that in mind when typing and it has an American layout so the shift plus number two gives n @ rather than speech marks like you may be used to on a British keyboard. Annoying but not a deal breaker for me. Love it and recommended.

Sadly not for a Pixel C tablet
A bit conflicted here. The keyboard is beautifully engineered and a delight to use but...With my Google Pixel C tablet there is a weird issue where the 2, 3, 4 and 5 number keys type three of each number when you press them so if you type '2' you get 222. It only happens with those keys and it doesn't happen if I use the keyboard with my android phone. Similarly if I use another Bluetooth keyboard with my tablet it doesn't happen. Must be some sort of incompatibility between the keyboard and my Google Pixel tablet. So sadly I've had to return it. I'm really disappointed because it's a great keyboard and I'd have loved to be able to keep and use it.

BRILLIANT KEYBOARD
I am delighted with the quality and functionality of this keyboard. It works faultlessly and is easy to type on. The build quality is extremely good and the design very ingenious and effective. Even the case - one of the reasons I bought this version in preference to others - is well designed and well worth having. It holds the keyboard securely and protectively and provides an excellent stand for the smartphone. A really good buy.

Faulty keys
Although it worked well for the first few weeks, the x and z keys stopped working suddenly after only low usage.

Highly recommended portable keyboard
Ok, so before I bought this I was concerned about those tiny brackets you can see where the keyboard folds. Worry not, they do not get in the way at all. As long as the keyboard lies flat on a table I did not find it rocks unless you chose to type with very hard keystrokes. It also pairs with my iPad like a dream. An amazing keyboard which I would highly recommend.

Best I've tried so far
Pairing with Windows and Android is no problem. Wanted a keyboard with Fn keys and the user guide gives details what each Fn key does according to each device. Only drawback according to Amazon's description it states it can wirelessly and simultaneously connect between Windows, Android and IOS. I have tried this and have been unable to do this - the user guide says "only one device can be actively paired at one time. Will chase seller and get some advice, as I use Windows and Android so this function would be great.

Works fine
Works fine. Keys need a good tap sometimes. Takes a bit of getting used to as spacing is a bit different
