Makes the best coffee!!!
I bought this ti get away from micro plastic that naturally comes with plastic coffee makers. I thought this would be a good, clean way to make coffee. I was right. The coffee tastes better and no plastic comes in contact with my liquids. The bulb on top is glass. Heat on high heat til it boils, then turn it down to low for ten minutes. Perfect coffee!

Makes really good perked coffee.
We have been using this percolator for about 3 months daily and love it! The percolator is well made and solidly constructed of heavy gage stainless steel. Large handle that does not get hot. The instructions that come with it give a basic idea on a coffee recipe. Tweaking the recipes have proven successful. Our desire was to avoid the bitterness of over-perked coffee. The coffee basket has perforations so a more course grind works best, less sediment. Markings on the inside show a max of 8 cups. We prefer medium to light roast coffee. In making a full 8 cups: -Fill with filtered water to cover the word MAX, -Add just under half a cup (125 ml) of coarse ground medium roast to the basket, -Put basket into percolator and fully close the top, -Set the stove burner on HI, -Bring water to a temp of around 192 degrees F (89C) [coffee will begin to perk heavily], -At temp, set burner from HI to 3 (out of 10), -Perk for 5m45s [water temp will rise to about 200F (93C)], -When time expires, pull percolator from burner and let set for 5m to allow basket to mostly drain, [turn off burner] -You may then remove basket [or leave it in], -Enjoy hot fresh perked coffee. To clean - do not use soap. Empty basket of used grinds. Rinse all parts thoroughly with hot water and air dry.

It's not suitable for a single person who only drinks one cup in the morning!
A very well-made percolator, sturdy, all-steel construction! High-quality product at an affordable price. BUT❗: You MUST make at least 4-5 cups at a time with this percolator! This percolator cannot make coffee in quantities of 1 cup, as with a critically small amount of water, the laws of thermodynamics and hydrodynamics are violated, and the water does not rise upward, preventing the geyser effect from occurring!

Nice perc but not for glass stovetop
Works great for electric or gas stovetop. Ceramic/glass stovetops it dances all over the stove and spins. Otherwise its a great percolator and would be great for outdoor or camping use. Living in an apartment that has the glasstop stove is the only reason its rated 4star.

Love it!
It percolates and makes coffee. The rest is up to you. I use freshly ground beans . I've timed how long it takes experimented with the amount of coffee I like for the cup of coffee I enjoy. One big tip I can share with anyone who doesn't have experience with this kind of coffee maker. You need to season it kind of like a cast iron skillet. Fill The basket and percolate it for a good hour. Let it sit all night with that strong coffee in there and from here on out just rinse it no need to scrub with soap and water. I do run a small brush threw the stem about once a week to ensure it doesn't get clogged up over time with buildup. With a little care this will be the last time you'll ever buy a coffee maker. I am the only coffee drinker in my house so I generally only make four cups but I can make 8 cups when I have company that may enjoy coffee. Keep in mind this is referring to 8 oz cups Most people drink almost if not double that amount in their morning coffee mug. That's something you should consider and buy the right size coffee pot for your household needs. It's not as convenient or time efficient as a drip coffee pot. But in my opinion and taste and those are very subjective to each person with that in mind , this makes a much better cup of coffee and worth the extra effort to me. From the time I start till I'm pouring my coffee in the cup including grinding the beans is about 20 min. I set a timer and its ready when I go out the for work. Also you should let it sit a few minutes before pouring so any grounds that sneak through the basket settle to the bottom and will not end up in your cup unless you pour the last little bit in it, If you use a coarse ground coffee you don't need a filter so in my opinion this gives you a much better cup of coffee because the filter takes away some of the oils that add flavor to your coffee. But if you're happy with store-bought already ground coffee, get the filters that they sell for these and it works just fine. After reading through some of the negative reviews ones that says this makes a horrible cup of coffee that is 100% user error. I did see reports of the electric one leaking keep in mind I am reviewing the stove top version One lady said the glass on top broke there any number of reasons for this but I have not had any issues with mine possibly she got a cracked one? A few people stated that the handle caught on fire or melted I think this would really be subject to the size of your burner or possibly an electric burner If you had a larger diameter circle of fire or heat than the outside diameter of your actual coffee pot this could very easily be an issue. So use a little caution and place your coffee pot so the handle isn't directly over flames reaching around the pot or heat traveling straight up from an electric burner to the handle. With a gas stove this could be circumvented with placement as well as not turning the heat up so high that the circle of fire is bigger than the coffee pot. Someone said the experienced wobble as if the metal was probably too thin and it didn't work right for them I'm guessing they had it on a electric burner? I have not experienced this on my gas burner. People also mention the metallic taste one person even said hopefully after a few uses and washings that will go away that will not go away if you do not season your coffee maker. From what I saw The majority of bad reviews for this coffee maker come from user error on the opinion based on lack of experience with this type of coffee maker. I am not saying this is the best one ever made It is a moderate priced stove top stainless steel percolator. The one I received the build quality was fine It does what is designed to do. If you say your pot makes crappy pasta chances are you are just not good at cooking pasta take a little time and learn how to do it right and you will enjoy it.

The spring goes under the basket, with the wide end facing up!
Great little coffee percolator, but.... one little detail missing in the videos!!! So, this is easy to clean, stainless steel, actually good gauge of metal thickness used, and all around not a bad little coffee pot, but, just for clarification, the spring goes on the stem WITH THE WIDE END OF THE SPRING FACING UPWARD so that the spring actually functions like a spring and helps hold the coffee basket lid closer to the top of the pot so that when percolating the coffee dispenses more evenly across the grounds. If you put the spring on with the wide end facing down, it just sits on the lip that holds the spring, hanging down and not performing any spring function. Most of the videos omit this one little detail that really will make a difference in how well it performs! Other than that, a good little coffee pot!!!

Quality Coffee Maker!
Nice quality stovetop percolator coffee maker. It is even nicer in person, the shiny fit and finish says quality. The great coffee it makes, so far three 17oz cups, is definitely the way to go. The aroma of coffee was just wonderful. I used to use a drip system but always wanted a percolator once again. I am so glad. Makes great coffee great once again! It does for me take about 3 minutes longer than drip but the coffee just tastes better and richer. I am going to give away my 100+ paper filters, no more drip. BTW, I buy bargain coffee, the cheapest whole bean coffeee I can find in my store on Amazon. So it was not the fact that I use gourmet coffee, I dont, its just that percolated coffee tastes so much better, and this maker does it.

Worth the wait.
I have wanted one of these for ages. For some reason you couldn't get them. Then spotted this on Amazon. It's had to come from the states (9 days), but it was worth it. Works well on.my induction rings thanks to the flat bottom. Very sturdy and we'll made. There's something about coffee from a perculator. Arrived when stated, well packaged. Will last a long time if looked after and it looks great in my kitchen.

Makes great coffee
Love it. Takes a couple of tries to find out how long you should let it perk so that it’s the strength you like your coffee. I also use a filter so that coffee grounds are not in the coffee. It’s exactly the right size for me. Takes about 20 minutes to make coffee that I like.
