Wasn't sure what I'd get, but once these arrived I was tickled pink! The leather is of a stable enough weight that it should hold up for a long time with somewhat heavy usage, and the holes were precision punched with no flaws. The color was spot on too!

I like the durability of the bases my only problem is they were to small

The moment I took it out of the box I could smell the mildew. Very strong mildew. It was very annoying. I had to put it down and come back to it several days later, allowing it to air out. Other than that, and the holes being extremely tiny, I can work with it.

I’m making a purse .

I needed larger size bag bases as I wanted to make decent sized crochet tote bags and these were the largest bases I could find. They are a great size, sturdy and the holes are a good size so you can fit most size yarn and hook through them to start it off. I like the little brass feet as it protects the bag from getting dirty. I will definitely be buying more as these are a great way to start a bag. * I have now done quite a few bags with these bases and just love them. I use a smaller hook to start them off and then continue with the yarn to make the bag.
