*A NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER* An arranged marriage billionaire romance standalone from New York Times bestselling author and BookTok sensation Ana Huang. She was my North Star, the brightest jewel in my sky. Ruthless. Meticulous. Arrogant. Billionaire CEO Dante Russo thrives on control, both personally and professionally. He never planned to marry…until the threat of blackmail forces him into an engagement with a woman he barely knows. Vivian Lau, jewelry heiress and daughter of his newest enemy. The wife he never wanted, and the weakness he never saw coming. It doesn't matter how beautiful or charming she is. Dante will do everything in his power to destroy the blackmail and their betrothal. There's only one problem: now that he has her, he can't bring himself to let her go. *** Elegant. Ambitious. Well-mannered. Vivian Lau is the perfect daughter and her family's ticket into the highest echelons of society. Marrying a blue-blooded Russo means opening doors that would otherwise remain closed to her new-money parents. While the rude, elusive Dante isn't her idea of a dream partner, she agrees to their arranged marriage out of duty. Craving his touch was never part of the plan. Neither was the worst possible outcome: falling in love with her future husband.

A Love Worth Fighting For — King of Wrath Delivers the Perfect Grumpy Romance
King of Wrath by Ana Huang was honestly a book I had to reread because I loved it that much. Ana Huang is one of my favorite authors because no matter how emotional or chaotic the journey gets, her books always leave you with a satisfying happy ending. This story had everything I love in a romance — tension, heartbreak, character growth, and unforgettable chemistry.Dante quickly became one of my favorite male characters. He’s blunt, intimidating, and completely goes after what he wants, but underneath all that coldness is someone capable of loving deeply. I always love a grumpy character who secretly becomes soft for one person, and watching Dante slowly change because of Vivian made the story even better. Vivian was impossible not to love. She’s sweet, caring, and elegant, but she also knows when to stand her ground. I truly felt sorry for everything she dealt with, especially when it came to her father. Personally, I don’t think he deserved forgiveness, so I was glad Vivian didn’t completely lose herself trying to please him.The breakup scenes were genuinely hard to read because you could feel the pain from both sides, which just showed how invested I became in their relationship. One of my favorite parts was seeing Dante’s brother step in and support him during those moments — it added such a sweet layer to the story. And seeing Christian and Stella again was so nostalgic and reminded me why I love this universe so much.King of Wrath is emotional, addictive, and filled with characters that stay with you long after finishing the book. Ana Huang once again proved why she’s one of my favorite romance authors.

Yes girl, make him BEG 🥵
I always ask myself this but WHY do I put off reading books that I've had my eye on and am excited about for so long? It's always the ones I end up really really liking. I honestly love how Ana can write such an amazing book and it not be all spice. And then when those scenes do come out to play, they are oh so fun 🥵👀Tropes💍 Arranged marriage💍 Dislike to love💍 Forced proximity💍 Slow Burn💍 Protective AND possessive MMC - even when he "hates her💍 He falls firstDante - OK could Ana have picked a better, less used name....yes. But! He's a billionaire. Broody. Possessive. Protecting. In all honesty he's a red flag in the real world but he does redeem himself in some very delicious (and sweet!) ways.Vivan's father has blackmailed him into marrying her and he loathes him for it, and her as well. But over time, he realizes Viv might not be as similar to her father as he assumes. His loathing quickly turns to lust which then turns to love right under his nose. Before you know it my dude is head over heals and gets hit with a freight train when he realizes it. Which is right about the time where he loses her too. Ironic in'nt?Vivan - Viv is a new money heiress who is a people pleaser to a fault. Her father all but "sells" her to Dante in order to increase HIS status. She tries to make the most out of a horrible situation and extends Dante an olive branch. Somewhere along the way she falls for him and when their relationship is tested because of his actions, she Makes. Him. Beg. Respectfully of course 👀👀 I love it.Now, I am usually not a fan of slow burns. I typically spend the entire book just rolling my eyes and yelling at the book for them to hurry it up. But I enjoyed this. The banter, the secret feelings (I wouldn't quite call it yearning, but it comes close), the JEALOUSY that is emitted from this man when he doesn't want to. It made it all so much fun.And the groveling. The groveling we get in this book is just to die for. Dante royally f**ks up. And he pays for it. You thought Christian was yummy? We literally get Dante. On his knees. Begging. In the most delicious way. This alone beats out anything that was done in her twisted series. The only thing I regret about this book is waiting so long to read it and not listening to the audio while I did. But I will be going back and listening 100%

Enjoyable
I enjoyed their story. The right things were infuriating and I liked their HEA. Not a lot of plot twists and over all it was pretty predictable, but I was still rooting for them. The whole "mine" trope and "touch her and die" bit didn't fully hit the mark bc it just seemed a bit weird in context of how his personality was portrayed. Like the reaction didn't really land bc it was so over the top from where he appeared to be emotionally at. Again, overall, I enjoyed the story.

Good read!
This book was overall good, with a few areas that could have been better. The beginning of the book started too slowly, in my opinion, without enough relevant plot information to hold my interest well. Once I got to around chapters nine to eleven, the plot was unfolding much better, and the hints of romance were beginning to form into something more. The romance build up was written well, with the hints of it placed thoughtfully in the early plot and blossoming at an appropriate time. The main male character was exactly as I expected him to be, but seeing his personality through the main female character's eyes was even better than expected. As the story progressed, the male's and female's character progressions were frustrating from the viewpoint of the reader (since I wanted them to fix their flaws immediately but that wouldn't make for a very good book) but necessary for the plot all the same. Near the end of the book, the character development for the two main characters took an abrupt turn, so I do wish it would have been a little smoother, but it wasn't a deal-breaker at all.The plot of this book kept my interest (after I got a little further into the book), with parts of this book making me gasp aloud and become even more invested in the characters. I felt the female main character's emotions when she found certain things out near the end of the book, and the male main character's emotions when he felt extremely strong toward certain events.Overall, I would read this book again, and the next book in the series sometime in the future. I did buy it for myself, but I would probably buy it as a gift for someone else as well.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/ 🥵🥵🥵Arranged MarriageBillionaire RomanceEnemies to LoversForced ProximityTouch her and you diePanty melting nicknameDual POVDante Russo is a powerful, controlling, ruthless billionaire CEO of the Russo Group forced into an arranged marriage with Vivian Lau via blackmail by her father. No one makes Dante do anything he doesn’t want to do. He will play along while he gathers what he needs to turn the tables, then he will take Vivian’s father down and call this marriage off! Who cares if Vivian is getting under his skin. So what if he is starting to feel things for her! He will destroy her father… but can he punish her father and keep Vivian?Vivian Lau is a loyal, fierce, beautiful, strong and ambitious jewelry heiress. She also happens to be the daughter of Dante’s newest enemy. She always knew that an arranged marriage could be in her future but she never thought it would be to Dante Russo. Dante Russo may be devastation in a suit but he is also rude! Can she marry this man out of duty to her family? This is my first Ana Huang book and I think I may have discovered another favorite! I absolutely loved this book and the audiobook just made it better. The dual POV really gave great insight to the main characters. I really felt like I knew them and loved watching them develop. The banter between them is great and made me laugh out loud a few times while reading. Dante meets his match. I love Dante’s nickname for Vivian. Every time he says it I melt and when he speaks in Italian… SWOON!I was disappointed by the fact that Vivian’s father never apologizes to her or even admits that what he did was wrong. But I love how Dante handles him and I love that she finally stands up to him. The main characters in this book have explosive chemistry and things get pretty steamy.I enjoyed this book because of the protective hero vibe, the touch her and you die moments, the enemies to lovers push and pull, the sexual tension and the groveling. If you are looking for a steamy arranged marriage alpha billionaire enemies to lovers romance Give This Book a Read! I will definitely be reading all of this series and any other Ana Huang books. For the Audiobook:This audiobook is perfection! The duet narration brings the story to life. Jacob Morgan’s voice is sexy, smooth, sensual, dark, and has the perfect hint of an Italian accent. Bellissimo! I could listen to his voice forever. He definitely sounds like Dante Russo and embodies his character completely. Emily Woo Zeller gives a wonderful performance as Vivian Lau. Both narrators helped me disappear into the story and I felt like I could picture it all in my mind. I was definitely swept away by this book! If you like romance audiobooks, I highly recommend this one! You won’t be disappointed!! Definitely a 5 🌟 listen!

Ana's tightest book yet!!
Woohoo Ana is back baby!! I for one am SO pleased and the only upsetting thing about this experience is that we have to wait until April 2023 for Kai and Isabella's book (just a joke - Ana take all the time you need to write their story!).I think my favorite parts of this book were Vivian, the tightness of the story, how addicting it was (especially the first half), and how Ana set up this new world while still calling back to the Twisted series.Vivian is a powerhouse and I never wanted to leave her. She's cool, calm and collected but she will cut to the quick when she needs to. I just love reading about women who are so capable and can advocate for themselves. Some of my favorite scenes in this book were when Vivian was raaaaaaaging at Dante (don't worry, he deserved it) because those scenes felt so earned. Vivian was able to call out the hypocrisy around her and I loved seeing her growth when it came to speaking up against her family.Ana once again is SO in the pocket when it comes to writing distinctive characters. Vivian, Isabella and Sloane felt very different from the Twisted Girls and Ana writes the nuances between female friendships in your early 20s vs. late 20s brilliantly. It's so refreshing to read female characters who are three-dimensional, flawed, capable, and lovable. The character development of both Vivian and Dante was well executed. Dante learned to get better with his communication, but it was a gradual and realistic process. This has to be Ana's tightest book yet. Every scene served a purpose and I could've easily read this book in one sitting. I basically had this book glued to my hands for the first half of it because I could not put it down! Also, Ana is so good at delivering on what her readers want - it is such a delight. All the Twisted callbacks knocked me out. We got to reread scenes we already read in Twisted, but just from Dante and Vivian's POV. Who ELSE is doing that besides Ana?! And Ana knows the readers are coming for a fun, sexy time and she doesn't disappoint there either. And the secondary characters in this?! I'm foaming at the mouth to read everyone's love story. Particularly Isabella and Kai (I cannot stress enough how hot Kai is), and Alessandra and Dominic (something tells me Ana is going to destroy the marriage in trouble trope). Is Dante my favorite book boyfriend ever? Honestly, no. But that's okay!! He is hot, has a lot of passion, is richer than God and is so smitten with Vivian. Personally, I loved the quieter, more domestic moments we got with him and Vivian as opposed to the more grandiose gestures he made.Ana smashed it once again in my opinion and she's always an auto-buy author for me!!!! A great start to this new series for sure.

Captivating and intriguing, an absolute masterpiece!
This was an ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! Which is surprising because I did not expect to love this book. Whilst I like a good grumpy/sunshine and arranged marriage trope, I prefer my MMCs on the golden retriever side and my FMCs on the grumpy side with loads of flirting and teasing. However, King of Wrath stole my heart and forgot to give it back. The characters were absolutely not what I expected. Dante wasn’t the robot-like and rude person and Vivian wasn’t a ditsy little girl. They were intriguing, multi-dimensional characters and the chemistry between them was incredibly captivating.I often find myself not liking the FMCs. Whether they are too immature or too powerful or too timid or too eccentric, there's just always something that makes me feel a certain dislike towards them. It’s like there’s no balance between their flaws and positive traits. However, Vivian was absolutely brilliant. She was down to earth, had struggles and although she was what I'd call a pushover in some capacity, it was only visible when she was with her family. Her real self was absolutely amazing, witty, funny, sarcastic. She was a multi-dimensional character and I loved that about her. She was both loveable and relatable. Even when I didn't agree with her, I could understand her.And Dante? Dante freaking Russo! Absolute boyfriend material. Not at first, but he had gone through some character development without completely changing his personality. He was a character who needed to grow and so he did in a way that didn't change who he was in his core, rather went through a journey to become better. Besides, one of my main issues with grumpy MMCs is the fact that they are very one dimensional and often not just rude for no reason, but bad people in general. But Dante was entertaining even when he was in his brooding mood and had an actual emotional range rather than just grumpiness. As for the chemistry between the characters… I don’t think I can put it into words. I need to develop my vocabulary because the only thing I can say is it was spectacular. Every word they uttered, every movement they made towards each other, every interaction with each other, even the arguments, the bickering, the witty comebacks, all of it screamed chemistry and tension. It was absolutely captivating. I don’t think I’ve ever read about a more intriguing relationship. It’s like they just fit perfectly. And perhaps, even if the intimate scenes were terrible, it would have been good enough because of the characters, but because they had such spectacular chemistry, the intimate scenes were absolutely terrific. And I just adored that it was an interracial marriage.Overall, it was an absolute masterpiece. I often complain about descriptions and inner monologues when they are too lengthy or too detailed, but in this case there was no issue with the pacing. The plot was interesting, the characters were loveable and relatable, the chemistry between the characters was oozing off of the pages and I just loved every moment of this book. I can only recommend this book. This was a brilliant story, therefore, King of Wrath got 5/5 stars.

King of Wrath Review
King of Wrath marked the beginning of Ana Huang's new series, and I must say that she started the new era in a excellent way. King of Wrath's narrative is simple, yet cohesive and coherent. And Ana Huang's writing has evolved a lot over time, and the evolution is fully noticeable when I compare it to the first book I read by her, Twisted Love. I really like the way Ana led the story, I devoured the book in one day because I was so involved in the story.Vivian Lau is one of Ana Huang's best protagonists, in my opinion. She is simply fantastic and she has a beautiful evolution throughout the book. It was beautiful to be able to follow her evolution. Vivian had a beautiful development and all her psychological aspects were very well elaborated.Dante was a perfect character too. I've been curious about him since Twisted Hate's first appearance, and the wait to learn more about him was well worth it. Ana Huang developed all aspects of the character, from the personality to the psychological and emotional aspects.Dante and Vivian's relationship was wonderful from start to finish, and I loved the fact that Vivian stood up to Dante at every turn. Ana Huang managed to develop every detail of their story as a couple very well, from the moment they hated each other to the moment they found themselves in love. The only thing I missed was the presence of more domestic scenes between the two of them.

Arranged marriage? hell yeah.
I didnt expect to live this book this much ngl but I didnt like Vivian's parents into the book but Dante's is a whole vibe, I still remember how speechless they were when his parents arranged a SINGLE room for them, also. Their cravings are really weird. Pringles+pudding+pickles? NO. Ice cream+soy sauce is out the window maam
