I bought this for carpet cleaning. Is it wrongly described? It doesn't seem to have the right tools to do that, but can suck up liquids.

If you bought this hoping to wash carpets you can fill a bowl with washing powder and water, slosh it on your carpet then use Charles to suck up the water. It works just as well.

I left my carpet in the garden in a sunny day, the day after it got completely wet because of the rain can this vacuum help to dry it?

It will get some water up and carpet will be left slighty damp

Can this model be used directly into a fish pond full of dirty water please?

this would be ok we used these in a burst sewage pipe sittuation at work and they worked a treat but would be wise to suck a bath full or two of clean water after to flush hose of mud or slurry
