I have to be honest. The horseshoe taps themselves are great. The only issue I ran into, is, that they make walking very ... tricky .. especially on very smooth floors. I tried to do something with them to make them not so slippery, but, in the end, I decided that I'd rather pay the cost of replacing the heels every few months instead of slipping and breaking my back. So, if you plan to just walk outside, or in an area that doesn't have smooth floors, you should be good. If, like me, you're walking on smooth floors... be warned..

nails are good only for hard soles. I bought longer panel nails for my thick soft soles. also put a drop of gorilla glue on each nail as i put it in.Probably dont need to do this on hard soles.

Nails are to short ,,, I found some I had 50 years ago,, 1967 in a box that I put my first pair of HORSE SHOE HEEL PROTECTOR PLATES .

It does makes loud tapping noise on every step,but my keen utility boots will last very long time.

great for preventing wear to heel of my boots., almost same type used by the German Army of WW2

Excellent; metal does not wear down quick on cement or concrete surfaces.
