Well this product will protect the heels on my boots, and it makes a cool "clink, clink" sound as I walk. But they make walking on pretty much any flooring besides carpet and the outdoors hard because you will slip and slide more due to the fact that there is no traction on them. This caused me to slip and fall.

They're a hassle to get onto the bottom of your boots, and sound nothing like you would expect. They produce less of a clinking sound, and more the sound of crushing gravel. They feel more like chintzy aluminium than the "heavy duty" metal as stated in the description and as I was expecting of them. If you're going to buy boot heels, buy real steel ones and not these.

What can I say, other than these are fantastic to add to shoes or boots with leather heels, with or without the rubber caps. They keep your shoes and boots from wearing prematurely, and produce a nice, confident "click" when you walk. The merchant is fantastic, fulfilled by Amazon, and I have placed several other orders that have been fully satisfactory.

Yes, they are loud, but that's what steel taps sounds like :) I wear them daily on all surfaces. Take your time the first day or so when walking in them, but they do rough up a bit and fell better on tile floors.

Thick plates and good tacks. They make a great sound when walking, we'll see how long they last but I have 5 more pairs to order for.
