85188 Ultra Disc Brake Caliper Lubricant, Green non-melting Synthetic lubricant, Helps prevent seizing and sticking of Brake disc components 1 x 14g

I stripped the brakes down on my 10 year old DD and decided to check the caliper slider pins for corrosion, contaimantion and stiction. After a wipe down and a clean with brake cleaner I put a smear of this Permatex on each pin and then reinstalled. The pistons now slide back and forwards with no stiction like a buttered baboon butt on a glass mirror ( no primates were harmed during this analogy). A little goes a long way and I expect this small tube to last me many years. Previoulsy I have used high temp lithium grease, but this Permatex is the proper product for the application. I should have bought some years ago.

If you want a dependable all-around brake lubricant without spending much, it’s one of the safest mainstream options. Mechanics who work heavily on modern floating calipers sometimes prefer pure silicone brake grease for slide pins specifically, but for most home brake jobs this product performs very well when applied correctly.

Does what it says on the tin. Compound seems as good as bigger brand although in green.Don’t know how much the difference between this one and the big brand.But so far so good.

High quality, good price, top lubrication, looks expensive but it will last long.

Used to put new brake discs on car, works a treat.

Didnt find this effective at all. My breaks are squealing again after a full clean, will be using standard copper grease next time. Expensive

Its says its for Disc Brake Caliper Lube, but does not say the temperature limits,I'll try and see how long will it last under extreme heat of the brakes....

Dopo estese ricerce online ho scelto questo prodotto per ingrassare i pistoncini dei freni della mia auto, dato che è uno di quei grassi che non ne degradano i cuscinetti in gomma.Che dire dopo 7 mesi i pistoncini non hanno problemi e sono ancora vivo. RaccomandatoEDIT: dopo più di un anno noto che la guarnizione alla fine del pistoncino basso non si è degradata ma si è gonfiata, invisibile all'occhio ma quel tanto che basta da bloccare i pin e far vibrare i freni, per fortuna rotori e pastiglie non costano tanto - non lo consiglio se i vostri pistoncini hanno guarnizioni ad anello a fine corsa.MALE perché non c'è un'avvertenza sulla scatola, va a fortuna in base alla qualità della gomma e composizione chimica, per stare sul sicuro è meglio lubrificante freni a base siliconica alte temperature.
