Using in my Ski helmet
Device works really well with a Cobra AM845 Walkie Talkie and my Ski Helmet. Walkie Talkie in a pocket, wires in coat, ear pads in helmet and PTT button in another pocket.Has allowed me to communicate with group easily whilst skiing.

Cables not long enough to work.
On the surface, this seems like the perfect product. It seems good quality to look at and handle, however I found that there is a huge problem in trying to use it. Once the headset and cables are installed, and you have the PTT switch mounted nicely on the handlebars, and cables all routed neatly so that they don't flap about, there just isn't enough cable left for you to connect the helmet to the bike! Once the headset is in the helmet you have about 10" of cable left sticking out the side of the helmet - but with the cables installed on the bike, you have to plug that into something directly between your legs where the tank meets the seat - which means I would be pretty much riding with my head lying on the tank - not much good on an adventure touring bike where standing up whilst riding is a requirement.I hunted high and low for an extension cable to go between the helmet and the bike but as there is no user manual provided with any details, and the connector seems to be non-standard I could not find anything - there is certainly not one advertised on the manufacturers website.Additionally one thing I noticed - on the pictures it shows the PTT switch having a straight wire with a connector on it - mine wasn't like this - there was a permanently attached flexible length coiled cable attached to the PTT switch - this (in my humble opinion) is in completely the wrong place - it should be between the helmet and the radio, not the PTT switch and the radio - how else are you going to mount the radio on the bike / hide it under the seat and get the wiring to all work?Note: it *may* be possible to wire this up so that you have the radio in your pocket, and use the flex-cable to the handlebars, however this is not a good solution in my view as it means you have this length of cable coming from your pocket to the handlebars, flapping in the breeze, bashing against (and scratching) you tank, plus it puts stress on the cable joint into the PTT switch - definitely not ideal.I am sure that there is a workable solution out there, but unfortunately this isn't it.

Cable too short and VOX hopeless
Got two of these to pair with a couple of Cobra MT 975-2VP, to use between a BMW K1200LTe and a Pan European. First thing to note was we had to dial back the Vox setting on the radios to 3, otherwise wind noise above 35mph mean one radio was in constant TX. On Vox level 3 we had to shout at the mike to get them started so we reverted to PTT switches which no good. Trying to find somewhere to mount the PTT switches on the bikes proved 'difficult' and the leads we then found were against us. The lead to the PTT was long and coiled - too long perhaps, but the lead from the headset to the radios was too short. Anything over 35mph and the voices started to 'break -up' even under 12 foot apart. Not sure to place the blame on the radios or the headsets, BUT when we tested them with one person stationary and the other riding 1/2 mile out in a residential area and we we still talking to one another with no problems - so go figure if it's the radio's both on the move of the combined noise on the headsets when both riders moving... Either way not a working solution.

Great system for use on motocycles
very comfortable in the helmet, and the push to talk works well, only tried the VOX once and keeps being set off by the noise of the bikes so just using the push to talk.
