What can i say about the biorb. absolutely love it. simple to set up and use, I have had this 8 months now Only certain plants are suitable for it as there is an auto mister in there is set up to be 75% humidity in the enviroment i have bonsais orchids and plenty others, no cacti as they rot. WATERING - you put water in the mister on top and you also pour water in the biorb itself. - In the mister you have to use water purchased from Biorb, In the bowl i use tap or deionized water for cars as i have had venus fly traps. The soil remains damp and is self watering via a capillary mat you can put enough water in there to last about a month.. probably more. Lighting - there is an automatic lighting system 12 hours on 12 hours off. The only downside is the lack of suitable plants available from garden centers to grown in there. Biorb used to sell a great little range of plants but they stopped that. Not all people in the garden centers know what plants are good for this but the criteria is SLOW GROWING plants which are small and can take the HUMIDITY. You need to replace the carbon air filter every 3 months according to the manual.however in another part of the Biorb website it says 6 months. Having opened up the filter they are just using activated carbon sponges. would be easy enough to cut some up to shape yourself and save on the filter. I have had the current filter in there for over 6 months. and there still isnt an issue with it. i think once you notice the garden smell coming out its time to replace the sponge/filter The Fan is not silent... When i called Reef one orginally they siad it awas as loud as a car heat on the lowest setting.. or a pc fan... It certainly isnt.. its about as loud as an aquarium tank fan. Not silent.. and doesnt disturb me, but its in the living room and we have a fish tank. I hope the next Biorb has some good upgrades. Lights .. timer patters... Easy pour in water access..

I loved the easy set up, I had researched the plants I wanted and had found many set up ideas online. I added worm casts to the coir substrate for fertilisation and bought a biorb rock structure as the centre piece, then added the plants. The lighting cycle is sufficient for my choice of plants, so no problems there! Adding the water was a little fiddly at first, as I used a 1 ltr jug which just fitted through the top. I will use a funnel in future to avoid splashing mud and water onto the plastic. The price was a little off putting, but they are the only one of this kind on the market at the moment so no competition. All in all I’m pleased with this purchase, and look forward to redesigning it in the future.

Beautiful when planted but the fan is really too loud in a quiet room. Easy to take care of once you get used to the size of the hole you work through. Reef One could be more proactive in their communications when you order consumables (misting spray etc) but are really helpful.

Do not buy. I’ve been trying to get hold of oase uk since getting this as the mister stays on and the fan clicks all the time. They will not get back to me. I spent so much on it so I have it planted up without the mister plugged in. This means the lights pulse a lot of the time. I just have to put up with the clicking. Looks great but its a piece of crap and I urge everyone to stay away. Had a friend buy one around the same time as I did and he also has clicking sounds from the fan. Terrible product and even worst customer service from oase uk

An sich ein sehr durchdachtes Gerät, nur frag ich mich warum das acrylglas schon beim auspacken verkratzt ist was ich für diesen Preis nicht verstehen kann. Das Glas hat auch Einschlüsse die man sieht.

Easy to set up and dial in, with included remote that’s easy to understand. Bright lights. Only thing that would improve plant growth would be different lighting options.

Das Teil ist wirklich schön, leider hatte ich Pech mit dem Vernebler. Bepflanzen und ist leicht möglich und wenn es dann eingerichtet ist, muß man eigentlich nicht viel tun. Die Fernbedienung ist eher ein Gadget, da im laufenden Betrieb nicht notwendig. Ich habe mein Biorb Air 30 erhalten und schon nach 2 Wochen hat der Vernebler versagt. Nach einer Reparatur war mal für 3 Wochen alles gut nur leider war dann wie der der Teil defekt. Großes Lob an OASE für den Kundendienst, die mir nun statt einer erneuten Reparatur ein neues Teil schickt.

Zum biorb Air selbst: ein Traum! An der Qualität kann ich nichts aussetzen. Der Artikel ist wie beschrieben, Acrylglas, leicht, Top Verpackung, ausführliche Bedienungsanleitung, viel Zubehör dass nicht extra teuer dazu gekauft werden muss (und es ist heutzutage nicht selbstverständlich dass alles beigepackt wird, egal wie günstig oder teuer ein Artikel ist). Ein ausgeklügeltes System dass mithilfe moderner Sensortechnik Licht, Luftfeuchtigkeit und Luftumwälzung automatisch betreibt und dadurch die Haltung von anspruchsvolleren Pflanzen ermöglicht. (Mini) Orchideen,Bromelien, Tillandsien, Insektivoren etc. gedeihen prächtig. Für eine Grünlilie oder einen Efeu natürlich weniger geeignet: diese werden zwar super gedeihen aber eben deswegen das Terrarium in wenigen Monaten „sprengen“. Über den zu lauten Lüfter, den einige kritisieren, kann ich nur sagen: man hört ihn kaum, wie ein leiser PC Lüfter. Natürlich kann man sich das ganze wahrscheinlich günstiger selber bauen. Aber wer sich das nicht zutraut oder antun möchte und eine optisch schöne Lösung ohne 20 Kabel, Schläuche etc. sucht, dem kann man nur zum Kauf raten. Größere Vitrinen wären sicher zu bevorzugen, aber hier scheitert es oft am Platz und man wird um diesen Preis auch nicht viel bekommen. Welche Pflanzen man wählt sollte im Vorfeld gut überlegt werden, aber auch ein wenig Mut zum experimentieren ist sicher kein Nachteil.
