Smells very similar to pure malt which is discontinued. A fruity boozy fragrance that last around 6 hours. If you loved pure malt and are looking for something to scratch that itch then this is it. Don’t let the bottle fool you because this is not cheap smelling. Great for fall/winter nights.

I’ve reviewed hundreds of fragrances at this point, I’m hardly an expert but I have a pretty good grasp on everything from bug spray cheapies to high end niche stuff and like a lot of you finding yourself here the hype on this fragrance is hard to miss and pretty well known. So what fragrances does a fragrance reviewer buy? Well..this. Yes, this is a personal purchase and a very well made one in my opinion. Pure Malt was a favorite of mine back when it was in discounter stores and I was so glad to find out someone had resurrected it and this is about as close as it gets (not 100% but close enough). This smells like money, and such a great fall winter scent you really can’t miss with this one and longevity is very impressive for an edp, clearly there’s a reason this is so highly talked about and I can attest to it myself. This is a QUALITY fragrance through and through, and for this price now that it’s gone down some since its initial hype is an actual steal, it’s impressive they are even able to sell it this low given the presentation and quality of scent. The hype is real and this is a sure winner just add to cart you won’t be disappointed. Five stars.

It’s a copy of Mugler Pure Malt. It open pretty strong when you first spray it but it calms down pretty quick. It last about 2-3hour then it becomes very close skin scent. I don’t mind that it doesn’t last long because I can just reapply. I love the smell. For $20-25 it’s a great value

The key takeaway is that this current version is a generic tobacco/amber/dark vanilla scent that is a mature, masculine, evening, winter scent, must buy at this price if that pleases you.If it works for you then you will be happy with the value, hard to not give it a shot if the tobacco/woody/vanilla clones all work great on you!! I would have liked to smell some of the older version of this that may have gotten closer to Pure Malt. However, I no longer have that either to do a direct comparison so I am going off of memory.For me it is in the park of trying to hit at a generic Tom Ford Tabacco take, not the actual Tom Ford version... the already discount store version. Not bad at all if that scent is great on you, then you likely will like this one too. I'm just not smelling any of the boozey malt coming through on this version that I remember, but the tobacco comes through and stays for a good 4 hours.

Similar to PureMalt & PureWood, but not exactly the same. Pleasant, warm notes. Scent lasts about 4 hours on me. Great value for the coat. Recommend trying it if you are exploring Value Scents
