Cones for the win
These worked great! I was so pleased with my manual kiln's first midrange firing.

accurate
We have used the small Pyrometric cones for 40 years. These cones seem to be accurate and work well. I wish that they did not comes with two attached together since occasionally one breaks when they are taken apart. I liked the old way of single cones better.

Hard to split but doable
Had to split these by running a blade through the middle a few times then splitting it by hand.

The cones do not work as they are described.
My self supporting cone do NOT self support. I have tried several and they don't stand up by themselves.
