Not brushless motor
After about a year it started squealing. Opened it up to lubricate the motor and guess what. Its is not a brushless motor like they advertise. Lubed it up and stoped the squealing. Thry shouldnt advertise brushless when its not

Completely Ineffective
This fan doesn't cool. The air flow is non-existent. It was installed professionally and done correctly, but it just isn't effective--not even a little. I never write reviews. However, given the poor quality and price of this item, I wanted to warn others. I won't be able to get my money back since it has been installed and the box thrown out, but hopefully others won't make a mistake in buying this.

Good quality for the price
I am a roofing contractor. I tried this model out on a recent project. The fan is solid. The exterior housing was very study, which is important in the SE with all the hurricanes. Easy to install and operates within minutes of being in the sun. Good value for the price.

2400 CFM? Don't think so.. a little disappointed
I live in a double wide mobile home trailer in Texas with literally to almost no ventilation between ceiling and roof so I needed an exhaust fan with high cfm (trying to keep inside temperature down since it's horrible in the summer, A/C can't keep up.Key points on this unit:It doesn't have a battery so ONLY works when sunlight is hitting it so if it's cloudy or rainy it won't turn on.CFM statements seemed doubful, to be honest this one seemed more like under 800 cfm comparing it to other fans I owned when on full blast wich seems pretty weak for what I need.It does work and does what it's suppost to but I think statements are false and if you need high CFM fan I would suggest to look for a different one.

How much can you really love a Solar Attic Fan? ALOT!!!!!!
I have a shed that gets over 100* in the summer.I've done all I can to keep it cool. The only thing that kind of works is to run the poor little 8K BTU window AC all day and all night. So, after a few $600 electric bills, I'm done with that idea. The walls and ceiling are insulated, but there is not much air flow. This fan is so quiet that you barely hear it running. I need to put my ear up to it to hear it run.And it does a GREAT job of venting out the room. The different mounting options let you mount it pretty much anywhere. Mine is in the roof. Really easy to install. NO WIRES!The one and ONLY issue with it is if you cover any part of the panel, the fan barely runs. I was testing it, and even with the shade of just my hand, the fan speed drops really low. Weird. If you have direct sunlight, this thing pulls a lot of air.Temps are down in the 80*s at the most now!
