This is really a great watch! The battery life is pretty great, the sensors are great for every day users, and the best part is how classy this watch looks. This watch actually works decently for fitness tracking. It is absolutely no replacement to a dedicated fitness watch like the 255 and 955, but even though it leaves me for wanting what those watches provide, it gives me more than I could have ever hoped for in its fitness abilities. Its sleep/awake tracking is scarily accurate. And its heart rate sensor is fairly good too. I do wish they had used their latest heart rate sensor because even though this is more accurate than many other devices out there, it still makes me question how accurate the reading is because I know it's not Garmin's best/latest iteration. Obviously if you are getting this watch though, it is mostly because of the design. And the design is precisely why I bought this watch and encourage anyone else with high taste to do the same. You will definitely want to get a classier looking watch strap than the one that comes with the watch, but the one provided with the watch works great for any fitness tracking you wish to do with the watch. I do, however, have a couple things that I really wish Garmin would improve. This watch is a different entry than the Garmin Style and Garmin Luxe, so I can forgive the plastic case to an extent. But a new watch with a gold/rose gold/silver/etc. case is long overdue. I like the design of this watch except for the plastic case (which still looks trendy, but not as classy as I would hope), but I still ended up getting this watch because the Style and Luxe are so outdated. I love the fact you can get notifications and even reply to notifications on-screen. I like the pre-set notifications, but I would like to see the ability to give full replies like my 7-year older Android Wear watch could provide. A speak to text option would be even better. These are options that I'm sure would be doable for a watch like this (so long as the microphone wouldn't ruin the design). My final suggestion would be to open this watch up to the app store. It has a full screen, and many apps and custom watch faces could still be added to this watch, even if they are more limited in options. In a perfect dream world, GPS, better battery life, and everything else that the 955 provides would be incredible to have in a watch like this, even if I had to pay more. But I understand the limits due to design, and I would prefer the design of this as a daily wearable over the 955 any day. But I will continue to use the 255 (eventually the 965 when it comes out) as my only fitness tracking watch when I receive it because it can do so much more. Hope this review helps!

Coming from a fully smart Fossil watch, I was looking for something with an analog look that still offers smart features, and this watch delivers! The battery life is impressive—I typically charge it every four days, and it lasts up to five days in smart mode, which is fantastic. The touchscreen is cleverly designed; it only lights up when needed, keeping the classic aesthetic intact. As someone with ADHD, the “Find My Phone” feature has been a lifesaver. I can’t imagine my life without it! On the downside, I initially wore it a bit too tightly and experienced some discomfort, but adjusting the fit made all the difference. Overall, the Garmin vívomove Trend combines health tracking, notifications, and a sleek design, making it a great choice for anyone looking to enhance their daily routine. Highly recommend!

I bought this watch 11 months ago. I switched from my Apple Watch because I didn't like their watches on me. I've been using this watch every single day, and I love it! It serves all my wants in a watch, and there are no cracks. I think it's very stylish on me so that's a bonus. I did have to align their hands a few times, but it wasn't a bother. It is a slight turnoff for those who want to text replies right from their wrist (I have the Apple ecosystem), but I think it's good for me to not have that ability. The app is a small hassle some times I use it, it feels like a decent quality. I do like the features though. One more downside for me is that it's not always convenient to set timers and alarms on this watch. I use timers a lot, and it's nice to set alarms before going to bed without the phone. The scrolling of the time isn't always accurate though, it misinterprets when I try to set the hour with the minute and vice versa. I still try to use those features though. I've tried the Fitbit, Apple Watch, Xiaomi brand watches, and none of those compare to this watch. This watch is worth it because it works so well with me, even with the slight downsides.

I bought my first VIvomove in 2019. I loved the look of the watch and the functionality, then after many years of daily use, the screen started going (the stats wouldn't show - but the watch was still functional which I could tell through the app). Fast forward to this purchase, I bought the new Vivomove. I didn't and don't like the look as much - it has less of the rose gold which gives it a bit of a cheaper look. AND - I am realizing that, unlike the previous version, this one will not measure correct mileage unless I have my phone and it is synched with the phone. The previous version measured the steps correctly, along with the mileage without having your phone on you. This one also doesn't measure flights of stairs correctly without having your phone on you. Realistically, that makes the watch almost worthless. If I have to carry my phone for the watch to work, then I could just have my phone track all the measurements. 2019 version of the watch - full five stars easily. LOVED that watch. 2026 version of the watch - 1 star - it's still a watch, and it does measure my steps. but doesn't measure other things accurately without a smarter device doing the bulk of the work.

Love it! Has a battery life of several days and can charge very quickly on the rare occasion I take it off. Value for money is incredible, it's lightweight, incredibly accurate, and easy to navigate. I love that it's durable enough to not have a single scratch while I wear it constantly, and it looks great with casual and formal wear alike. I was looking for a smartwatch that didn't look tacky, and this is absolutely it!

I purchased the watch for recording bike rides with heart data to be exported to Strava. I discovered that when pausing a ride, the activity is automatically ended, without use intervention, in about one minute. If you don't periodically intervene, your trip is prematurely terminated and you have to start a new one. When exported to Strava, instead of a single ride you get multiple mini-rides and there's no simple way to combine them after the fact. You would think that this would be an easy issue for Garmin to solve, but after searching for help on their forums, I discovered that customers have been loudly complaining about this "auto save" feature for years. People have been begging them to offer a way to disable the feature of at least change the length of the timeout. Garmin's response? It's working the way we intended; end of story. There are dozens of threads about this, most of which have been closed to prevent further user comments, without Garmin even bothering to respond to their customers. It has been suggested that your can just use the "resume later" feature to work around the issue. This watch does not have that feature, apparently reserved only for their "premium" watches. Some Garmin watches can automatically pause an activity. Again, this watch is mixing that feature too. I would be inclined to give them a pass, if there was any evidence that Garmin listened to their customers, but given the issue has been outstanding for years and the arrogant handling of customer feedback, I will instead be returning this watch and going with a different brand. Otherwise, if you don't mind not being able to pause and resume activities, the watch is not too bad, but not great either. Unlike some watches, it's not like wearing a Pip Boy on your wrist and looks relatively stylish. I like the mechanical hands, which makes it look like an old-school watch. As others have pointed out, there's not much contrast between the hands and the watch face, which makes it hard to read in low light. I don't see this as a major issue, as when held up to read, the display turns on, showing the time. While in theory, using your phone as the GPS should not be an issue if you always have your phone with you, in practice, you have to always manually start the app before recording. This last part pretty much eliminates the advantage of starting the recording with your watch. If you are going to have to pull out your phone and start an app anyway, it would be simpler to control recording with your phone too -- but that's not an option in the app. I have found the touch screen to be unresponsive at times, which can be frustrating. It's useable, but could be better. As far as I can tell, the sensors are reasonably reliable, although I did have issue getting the pulse-oxy measurement to work. Pulse, motion, and altitude seem solid. Overall, I would be inclined to give four stars, if it were not for the "we don't care what our customers want" additude prominently displayed on their forums. As best I can tell, there is no chance my main issue will be addressed and Garmin does not listen to customer feedback. For this, I'm taking away two stars.

Honestly really liked the watch, it’s a smart watch but looks like a regular watch! Which is exactly what I wanted, Apple Watches are just squares and don’t have much to them, but tech. Garmin nailed it with hybrid watch. That being said I have it a 3 star because of how it was. Trying to calibrate it was terrible, it tells you to mark both hands at 12. However it would never be on time and it was behind by a minute or two. Enough to bother me. Also the display is very dim and hard to read in bright areas. On top of that my notifications wouldn’t always display on the watch. However I still would choose this over the Apple Watch if your going for a better style, time monitoring, step monitoring, and stuff like that. The only thing that bothers me about the time was the hands not being synced up perfectly. However the display does turn on and tell you the time anyways. I would attach a photo, but I returned the watch because of the hands bothering me and not syncing up properly. I’m hoping it’s a fluke and just got a bad one. I would buy another if that were the case.

Perfect if you want a smart watch without the look, bulk, cost, and weight of a traditional smart watch. No complaints on functionality. Would be nice if the minute and hour hands had more contrast with the watch face, as they can be hard to see in dim lighting, but ultimately you have a digital time display available. Would also be nice if it had a slightly higher pixel density and refresh rate, but surely that would come at the cost of an increase in price and battery life, so probably not worth it. Charges a little slower than advertised in my opinion, but that could be user error (maybe a low power USB outlet). Water resistant, so I never take it off except for about 20 minutes when I need to charge it. The watch face is on the smaller side, which I liked. If you're looking for a larger watch face, consider a different watch.

Love this watch!! Does everything I want and more, really nice face classic analogue look, yes the hands are black but you can see them and tell the time!

Love this watch, it looks nice and tracks lots of things. It does not come with a charging block but has a cord that is USB-C on one end and then the other end is specialized for the watch. Charges fast, but I needed to order USB-C charging blocks.

I absolutely love my new garmin vivomove style watch ,thos is already the second from this brand and it doesn't disappoint like the previous one. The battery life is good and the modern design delights everybody around. Eas to change strap that doesn't irritate skin. Lots of useful functions like find my phone one. The garmin app that goes with the watch is great, accurate and reliable.
