This has no ticking sounds which is brilliant as I bought this to replace one very similar which did tick by my bedside. The face dials are easy to see and the light when the button is pressed is bright enough to see in the dark. This is an old style clock and not digital so when settings the alarm it is slightly out by a few minutes either way just like when I was a teenager lol. It’s a beautiful and quiet little alarm clock which I recommend for those whom don’t want a modern digital clock but prefer the old style and reliable wake up. The only downside to this because of its size is the two alarm clock and time settings dials at the back which are tiny for my fingers to adjust but if you use tweezers it will do. This is a lovely and good small clock which I do recommend as I’m very pleased with it.

This clock arrived and is as expected. It does not come with a battery! It has a clear and easy face to read, is compact & lightweight. Also comes with instructions. I found the battery compartment cover quite hard to remove & it felt a bit flimsy & was afraid of breaking it, but it was fine. Also, with being such a small clock the dials on the back are quite small too and difficult to turn with the fingers, but did work using a fingernail to push the dials round. The alarm button is very easy to use & the light is useful. It is good value for the price & hope it last a good time.

I need an alarm clock to replace a 15 year old one that simply refused to work. It was small, not digital, with an alarm and with a light for checking time in the dark. And they are not so easy to find.This one is almost perfect. It is small enough to pop in a bag for travelling, it is lightweight, the alarm noise level is just right. The light is easily turned on by holding a small front button down. The face is clear and easy to read.The only fault is that the two little cogged-rim wheels at the back for changing the time hands and setting the alarm time are too thin and a bit too sharp. This makes turning the wheel less comfortable and less easy than it could be. It makes it a bit fiddly and a bit sharp on the fingers.Nonetheless, I like this alarm clock.

Versatile good little travel clock

I wanted a travel alarm which was easy to use and suitable for home or on holiday. The display is clear and it is easy to find the button to light the dial at night. You can put it on for a few seconds to check the time without lighting up the whole room as you would with a mobile phone. It is also very easy to check whether the alarm is on either by feel or by looking because the switch is clearly raised in the on position and flush with the casing when it is off. This also makes it easy to turn off. I defy anyone to sleep through the alarm as it starts off fairly quiet but gets progressively louder. I cannot hear any noise from the clock even in the middle of the night when everything is quiet. It is a bit fiddly to set theclock time and the alarm time because the dials are quite small but there is a knack to doing it if you have nails. I have been using the clock for a few weeks now and it seems to be keeping good time. It arrived well packaged and the straightforward instructions are inside the box. You just have to insert your own battery (a slide compartment, no fiddly small scredrivers required) set the time and off you go. I'm really pleased with my purchase and now that we are home my husband is now using it in preference to his own alarm clock. All in all a good buy.

To expensive for what you pay

My old thinner clock suddenly gave up, so after a lot of research went for this, its tiny, and quiet. Light never worked, but alarm does, so result. Its 1" thick but can live with that. It strangely takes a AA battery instead of AAA which adds to weight/thicknessUPDATE, after 4 months its slowed down, second hand struggles, will check battery but last battery on older thinner clock lasted a year ? no guarantees after a month

Great for packing into a suitcase, nice and loud too
