Worked!
I recently purchased a pre-owned 2020 vehicle and after the dealershipโs cover up spray wore off the vehicle smelled like stale cigarette smoke. I tried everything including ozone, hot water extraction on carpets, lightly cleaning the headboard, thoroughly wiping everything down and other cover up scents. This CLO2 was my last defense as I was hesitant. But the smoke smell was horrible to us. I think all of my previous cleaning efforts are the way to go at first attack and reduced things some but this CLO2 treatment really eliminated it. There is a residual chlorine smell but it is not anything like the stale cigarette smell! It has only been a week and the vehicle has only been driven once. Other reviews state the chlorine smell lessons with time. My wife will be the test later this week as she will be driving the car on a trip. I cannot smell any cigarette smell at all. I followed this up tonight with a/c pro duct cleaner only because I had already purchased it so I used it. I had no issues with this treatment effecting interior leather or plastic. Tip: remove your cabin filter, lower your sun shades, open your center console and glove box. Get the CLO2 everywhere it can get to!

Fantastic!
We purchased a used van and they smoked the reefer like it was their job in this thing. We tried another car fogger. It did nothing. Had it cleaned, new air filters. Nothing worked. Someone mentions this. We put it in for 4 hrs. In the shade, it worked amazing! There was a lingering pool chlorine smell for about 2 days. We just left the windows down some and it worked great with dissipating the chlorine smell. Now we can drive it and no one thinks im slanging the Mary J in my swagging wagon.

Works as advertised. Great product. Removed Corpse Smell
Holy carp... this stuff worked phenomenally. I just bought a car and it smelled like something dead... popped this in, followed basic instructions, but let it stay in over night from about 6pm until 6am... dead smell gone. Smells like a swimming pool now... which is preferable and should fade with time. Price is well worth it. We will see how long the dead stay dead.

Like ozone, but less risky. Part of a cleaning plan, not a panacea.
cigarette smells can be very difficult. I bought a used smokers car and thought I could get rid of smell. Like other products and methods, this helps, but did not work 100%. I cleaned my car thoroughly including carpet headliner and seat belts, but did not remove front seats, so part of center console were untouched as well as parts of front seats. Then I used ozone for two treatments of 1/2 hour each. Smell greatly reduced, but back on hot and humid days. Turns out volatile organic are hydrophilic and drawn out by humidity. I did not want to risk more ozone because it degrades plastics that includes wire insulations and parts of electronics. I then tried this. It has similar chemistry to ozone but weaker. Both work by oxidizing volatile organic, but ozone is one of the strongest oxidizers existing. It is literally an a stable molecule made of oxygen atoms. This is weaker, but still can oxidize organic contaminants. I used overnight. It helped a lot. The chlorine smell lingers after a week, so be ready for that. Overall worth it, but I still have a slight odor. I think the main problem is that i have faux leather seats making it hard for chemicals to penetrate upholstery. This is just an educated guess. I might try again, and with this product. If you have faux leather seats, you might be in for a long battle. Still this seems like a less risky tool than ozone.

Works great, wish I'd known about it years ago
I did not know these products existed. I have owned a 2000 Ford Expedition for 10 years and have put up with a mildew smell since day 1. My wife would only ride in the Expy when she could wear grungy clothes and not have to interact with people. I was looking at new trucks last month and the salesman asked if I was trading in the Expy. My wife jokingly stated that I would have to pay them to take it because of the smell. The salesman then told me about these types of products and how the dealership uses them on stinky cars. I ordered this as soon as I got home. At first I didn't think it was working, but I looked in the window about an hour later and the truck was full of "fog". I left the Expy closed up all night and opened it up the next morning. The mildew smell was gone! There is a faint odor of a bleach like smell, but when I get out from a drive I don't smell like mildew or bleach. I'm truly amazed and very happy this product worked as advertised.

Follow Directions!
First thing to know is, this product smells like chlorine, probably because it's chlorine. It will clean your stinky car in the same way that chlorine bleach cleans your clothes. Some practical tips: 1. Follow directions. 2. Air your car out for the recommended period of time. 3. Open the trunk when airing the car out. Trunk lives matter. 4. If you left the product in your car for 6 hours, air it out for 6 hours. 5. As soon as the appropriate air-out period has passed, WIPE THE INTERIOR DOWN WITH A DAMP TOWEL. 6. Follow up with a dry towel. Wipe every surface including window glass! 7. Use any brand of "wrinkle release" product (I used one that started with a D) and spray it on all the fabric surfaces. 8. Air it out again for about 30 minutes. 9. Change the cabin air filter. 10. This should completely neutralize any lingering chlorine smell in your car. Any other odor will be a distant memory.

Works ok not for hardcore smoke odors
Works ok. Would rather have the clobomb but not available in California. I followed instructions to the tee. Still have some smoke odors.
