Effective and Reliable
I’ve been using Germolene Antiseptic Cream for years, and it has consistently proven to be one of the most reliable products in my first aid kit. This 55g tube is the perfect size for both home use and on-the-go, and it’s ideal for treating a variety of minor cuts, grazes, burns, and insect bites. The cream has a soothing, mild scent that’s not overpowering, and it works quickly to help prevent infection while promoting faster healing. One of the things I love most about Germolene is its versatility. It’s an excellent all-in-one solution for treating a wide range of skin issues. The cream contains both an antiseptic and a mild local anesthetic, which means it not only helps to clean and disinfect wounds but also provides relief from pain and itching. I’ve used it for everything from small kitchen burns to rashes, and it’s always provided quick, effective results. It doesn’t sting upon application, which is a bonus for sensitive skin. The consistency of the cream is thick enough to stay in place but still easy to spread. It absorbs quickly, leaving a protective barrier on the skin without feeling greasy. The 55g tube lasts a long time, making it great value for money. Whether you’re dealing with minor injuries or simply need a reliable antiseptic for daily use, Germolene Antiseptic Cream is a must-have in any household. I highly recommend this product for its effectiveness, affordability, and versatility.

Great product lasts forever
At 45 the tube i bought in my first year at uni ('96) finally ran out last year... seems to be the same formula great for preventing infection. However now in a plastic tube - i mention this because when at a festival and a wee bit inebriated i mistook it for my travel size tube of toothpaste- not a fun experience.

Not as us Oldies remember it as being!
It doubtless does all it says it does. Not fantastic value but good to have in your medicine cupboard / first aid kit.I'm of the age that remembers it as originally a thick antiseptic ointment with a distinctive pink colour and scented with oil of wintergreen and invented by Sir William Henry Veno (Cough Medicine tycoon) in 1925 It came in Round Tins. It was awarded 5 Gold Medals at some hygiene extravanganza. Being sticky it was VERY good at getting grit and gravel & stuff out of grazed knees for when you removed the dressing all the nasties came away with it. This it no longer can do - pity - youngsters are still grazeing knees to this day!

Definitely Value For Money - Good Quality Antiseptic Cream
This cream is a brand I have trusted and used for years. It flows gently out of the tube and delivers a pleasant smell on the surface it is applied to.The tube is a good size if you have to cover ' lumps and bumps' for younger people. The cream is non-greasy but does require covering with a plaster when applied to keep the area clean and sterile until it dried.Happy to recommend it as a well established cream that works and protects

Best cream to have in your house for your family.
I always have this cream to use for family. Nettles and bug bites we use this helps stop the itching.Big lover of Sudocrem (as sudocrem is safe on pets too as long as you obviously keep the area you applied covered so pets cannot lick it off.)

A cat owners must have
I own a cat who does not like his claws touched so he's 'allowed' to keep them sharp. This doesn't have too many consequences as he doesn't scratch our furniture (even though he's allowed on all of it as he doesn't shed much if not at all without brushing) and always uses his scratching post to sharpen his murder mittens. The main issue with this is that during playtime, you often leave with several new scratches on your hands. I don't mind this really, I'm used to it. 90% of the time the scratches don't draw blood, but when they do it is important to disinfect your hands and the scratches by both washing your hands as well as applying some antiseptic. Germolene is my go-to for this as you don't need much at all, has a local anaesthetic mixed in, and is a great disinfectant/antiseptic. The scent is nice, not chemically at all like you would associate with maybe an alcohol based antisepic/bacterial. I have a few new tubes in stock so I'm never low.Whilst it's new formula isn't as good as it used to be, I still highly recommend using Germolene as a quick antiseptic to use on minor scratches and grazes to disinfect and help heal them quicker. As the owner of a cat with untrimmed claws, I often use it and I'm glad it works so well.
