Fall surfcasting glove with 40 degree sweet spot
Are much better than nothing for surfcasting northeastern Fall run but as most people who fish in colder weather know, there is no perfect solution for gloves that are waterproof and also allow a certain amount of nimbleness. I would say 40 degrees is the sweet spot. Colder than that and I got some benefit wearing those brown cotton gloves underneath. The kevlar reinforcement for finger and thumb is ok, can cast braid, but hooks do tend to get stuck in it. Overall, satisfied.

Warm and waterproof! Good fishing glove.
Couldn't be happier for the price. Form fitting and streamlined, holds heat in well enough in late autumn conditions in New York. I wouldn't use these in the middle of winter. The reinforced pointer tips are a nice touch for being able to cast braided line. 👍

Water resistant, but not that warm
These gloves fit well and are definitely water resistant. The grip on palm and fingers seems good for handling fish and rods. I was disappointed that they really aren't very warm, but I'll keep them.

When I get honest, I admit I am a bundle of paradoxes. I believe and I doubt, I hope and I get discouraged, I love and I hate, I feel bad about feeling good, I feel guilty about not feeling guilty. I am trusting and suspicious. I am honest and I still play games.Aristotle said. . . . NOT RECOMMENDED
Wanted a pair of warm, waterproof gloves that weren't overly bulky. These are a disappointment.1) they aren't particularly warm2) they AREN'T waterproof. Somewhat water resistant? MaybeThe glue/rubber cement that they use to seam seal these, loves to stick to itself (from when they were brand new, and even now, a couple years later). Since there are seams all along the sides of each finger, what this means is that EVERY time you go to put these gloves on, the fingers are stuck together. I have to pull/peel them apart (if I wanted mittens, I'd have bought mittens).Therein lies the problem. When you pull the fingers apart the seam sealant/glue rips apart unevenly, potentially leaving unsealed gaps, and this happens EVERY time I out them on.In addition, as the description notes, these use a water repellent coating on the outside face fabric. That coating wears off quickly, and then the outer fabric gets completely soaked simply from contact with snow, much less water (which also means the gloves get really cold, as they're now thoroughly wet).Waterproof while being submerged in water? I definitely wouldn't trust these for that.I just received my order for G & F Products 100% waterproof gloves (the bright orange ones available here on Amazon) and can attest that these ARE in fact, waterproof for submersion (and I didn't have to peel the fingers apart). They also cost ~40% the price of these Stormr gloves.

Great for fishing and shoveling snow!
I'm a huge fan of Stormr. I own their jacket and gloves. The gloves are perfect for east coast residents because they're good for surf fishermen PLUS when it snows and you have to clean your car your hands will stay dry & warm. These are made well. I still have my original pair from 2 years ago. I recently lost one and bought a second pair.

There were a few occasions where it was very cold that I wanted something waterproof while maintaining good dexterity. There is
Update 1/28/2015 - Finally was able to use these on the ice for an extended period of time and I am quite disappointed. After only 20 minutes of use my hands were soaked. I called Stormr and was told "they are not waterproof, they are meant for warmth". Inherently fishing gloves are going to get wet. If you don't mind warmer, wet hands, than these will be fine. I'll continue my search for a pair of warm waterproof gloves.*Original Review*I haven't used these in any kind of extreme weather yet and I will update my review at the end of the season. I purchased these for ice fishing. I honestly don't have much of an issue with cold hands and often I don't even wear gloves. There were a few occasions where it was very cold that I wanted something waterproof while maintaining good dexterity. There is nothing worse for me than taking my gloves off for every task and that is often the reason I don't bother wearing them. These have good dexterity for the thickness and I feel I'll be able to complete most things with them on. My issue with the gloves is the comfort. The interior seams are quite uncomfortable. Also, at the wrist of the glove is a bit of grip material, I imagine to keep the gloves taught. Apparently the people who tested these gloves did not have arm hair. They are constantly tugging on my arm hair. It doesn't pull it out, nor is it painful, it simply drags on my hair creating an uncomfortable feel for me. The fitment is spot on for my size. I have small hands and the website has a chart based on the measurement from your longest finger to the base of your palm. At 7 inches I had to choose a small or a medium and chose a small for a snug fit. I think they are well made, and worth the price tag but for most they won't replace thick insulated gloves for the extreme cold.

Great cool weather fishing glove
I've taken these out a few times in 40-50 degree weather. They really helped keep my hands warm in both wet and dry conditions. I was impressed at how well I could cast my spinning rods with these on. They definitely have extended my fishing comfort zone down another ten degrees. The grip is great and the kevlar finger patch works well to keep braided line from eating your gloves. In cold weather I really appreciate the positive grip these gloves have on my boats steering wheel. Great fishing glove!
