Netted balls and plastic waste
Two reason I give this a one star. Firstly, the fat balls are held in plastic nets. There is no need for this and these just end up in landfill or get lost in a garden and are a hazard to wildlife. We need to be reducing plastic or re-using where possible. Secondly the tub was so badly damaged it cannot be used to store the fat balls as the crumbs just fall out onto the floor. The tub cannot be re-used either and amounts to no more than a single use plastic which I am opposed to. Its wasteful and again while I have placed it to recycle only about 9% of plastic in actually recycled. I would not purchase this product again until the company re-thinks its sustainable living policy and considers its use of plastics.

Very disappointed - birds not interested
After reading many of the good reviews, I decided to make a purchase. I get a reasonable amount of birds close to the garden. However, several have visited since I’ve put these out and haven’t bothered with these at all.... not even greedy pigeons who have previously decided to feast on previous (different branded) bird food I’ve left out! I’ve currently had 5 of the balls in two different areas of the garden for the past week and they’re still there. I feel this is a total waste of money as there’s no way I’m going to be able to get rid of the whole lot.

Not great for plastic waste!
A star removed for a couple of reasons, but the biggest being that each ball is individually wrapped on a plastic net. As I'm trying to cut down on my plastic use (and yes, I know the tub is plastic) it's just a bit disappointing, and I'm not sure it's necessary. The balls haven't been as big a bit with the birds as I'd hoped... they used to plough though the locally bought packets within a day, but not so much with these... 🤨 they are value for money though, and maybe I've just got a fussy bunch of birds locally.

Looked good but the garden birds are not very interested.
Normally fat balls are devoured by my garden birds. These however will take forever and a day to be consumed. This is especially poignant since we have had such a cold spring. As for the flavour can't be too sure on that . Sturdy yes very sturdy have stayed in place for some time with very little being eaten. not value for money as the fat balls may well turn rancid before they are eaten.

Excellent fat balls
Birds love them. We have a variety of birds who come to our garden and visit the 'free bird restaurant'. They have become very fussy over the years (spoilt) over seeds, nuts and fat balls. We bought another tub of fat balls from another company and the birds would not touch them. These fat balls go down so well. We put out the balls, along with seeds, mealworms and nuts every other day and the birds seem to make a beeline for the fat balls first.Certainly worth going for quality if I do not want waste.

Disappointed each ball comes in a net
Disappointed that I didn't notice that the balls come in individual nets which are dangerous for wildlife. I will remove the nets before putting them out, but that's additional landfill. In the future, I will choose differently to buy balls that come without the unnecessary/dangerous nets.

Birds do not eat it
I have had these suet balls on the bird feeder for a week now, and none of the birds will eat them - we have a lot of birds come in our garden: Jays, magpies, crows, Stalin's, pigeons, blackbirds, sparrows, robins, and many others. I have hung the balls on the feeder; taken the food out of the green bags and put it in coconut halves; tried it on the feeding tray; none of the birds will touch it. Waste of money, never again!!!

Good value and the birds love these!
Good sturdy tub, delivered quickly. I have to say if there's one thing amongst all the other feeders the birds Go for its these so they must like them. Having to replace more frequently than anything else so will probably need to buy more soon! On a couple of feed balls the netting wasn't sealed properly so just popped utninto a feeder but otherwise really good product as described!
