After reading the reviews I was expecting something out of the ordinary - but they are sardines, just sardines. They are very pretty little fish, attractively arranged. The best thing is no fishy oil left afterwards.

YOU CAN TASTE THE FISH, NOT THE SALT
The product is packed in spring water which means that the taste is all fish and not salt or oil. For those who are not keen on too much salt, this is very helpful.

Not What I had hoped
I probably should have realised that "Brisling sardines" are not the same as the sardines I normally buy in the supermarket. These were very small and didn't taste as nice as I had hoped. There's nothing actually wrong with them but they're not the same as the "normal" sardines I'm used to.

You get what you pay for
I buy them for my dog and give half twice a week on her dinner - so for this they are expensive (my dog eats better than me!) I have found another brand popped up recently one amazon but they don’t say if they are sustainable so I will stick to this more expensive brand for ethical reasons, I cannot find sardines in spring water in my supermarkets oddly. Thanks Fish 4 Ever, my dog really seems to enjoy them!

Delicious and Nutritious!
These are the best sardines I have found so far! They are small, with bones and skin, which is exactly what I was looking for. I use them as an ingredient in my sardine-mackerel fritters using 1 tin of sardines, 1 tin of mackerel (including the water from both), finely mashing them and then adding 4 whole free-range eggs, beating everything together and then dropping the mixture by the tablespoon into a pan of hot ghee or tallow. One pan can hold 4-6 fritters. Absolutely scrumptious! I will most certainly order these again. Just more than one packet of 6 next time!
