Pure poetry from the depths!
Love, rejection, disappointment, pain, self discovery...Atlantis covers a wide range of emotions and experiences through the medium of poetry but in a way that reads very much like a story separated into tiny segments. There is complete honesty and absolute passion as every piece is stripped of any fat telling the reader exactly how it was, how it is and how it is going to be but managing to retain a beauty and flow only possible through poetry. For me, the subject matter resonates powerfully and I found myself drawn into a life I have experienced (through my mother) and for which seems to be commonplace these days. Lauren writes beautifully, Lauren writes painfully, Lauren writes honestly, Lauren...please keep writing.

Atlantis is a treasure Eden dug up from the sea inside her
This poet crawled out of the sea; as hard-spined heartache dripping wet lusty things; a temptress and siren so beautifully serene; that after she wrecked the sailor onto the rocks, he still invited her for a drink || This book is a treasure. I loved ‘Of Yesteryear’ and I still think very highly of it but ‘Atlantis’ blew me away. I felt a lot more growth, truth, and grit in this book. I also connected to it more on a personal level; things like - she wrote of nearly bleeding to death birthing her son and this happened to me also. I had to put the book against my chest and just pause for a moment after that piece - and I live for writing that makes me *PAUSE*. I also love how she often presents love/sex more masculinely and loss/heartache more femininely, this distinction is very significant and important to me, because it’s a difference that causes me not to connect with a lot writers (of both genders) because they are often too romantic in their love and too aggressive in their loss. For me, Lauren Eden gets it exactly right.

Lauren stands out to me as authentic and unapologetically herself...
Of all the poetry collections Lauren has put out, I can relate with this book the most. There were multiple poems that I re-read over and over again because I felt them on such a deep level. There are certain authors that I continuously support because I genuinely believe in their work. Lauren is one of them. She stands out to me as an authentic, unapologetically herself, author. This book is raw and honest and definitely worth the read! One of my favorites:“I talkto the moonand she tells meit’s okay to change.”( Page 115)

Buy it. Now.
I’ve never connected more with a collection of poetry. Nearly every piece in this book felt like an entry in my own journal. I’m mad at myself for waiting so long to purchase it. I recommend Atlantis to everyone struggling with or curious about self-worth, marriage, and self-identity. It’s a beautiful collection of art.

Brilliantly written.
I buy a lot of poetry books and I find it hard to make time to read them. This book pulled me. It is one of the few books that caught my attention and kept it until the last page. I am a big fan of the writer and couldn’t wait to read it. It is a great follow up to her previous book. Lauren, I appreciate your authencity and creativity. From one writer to another. Great Job.

and utterly beautiful, sneaking its way to the top of my ...
It was the title which drew me to Lauren's collection of poetry, but it was the words inside which has me hook line and sinker. This collection of poetry has been my go to since I received it. Honest, raw, and utterly beautiful, sneaking its way to the top of my reading pile each week.Cannot recommend this collection of poetry enough.

moving poetry
This book proves that so few words on a page can be as thought provoking as any hugely written novel. I am blown away by this writers relatable message that connects so many women together. I rarely buy many poetry books by singular artists but this one is well worth it. I hope she will keep at this for many more years to come.

Taking something so short and making you feel like it tells your whole life story
Nothing is ever just simply poetry with Lauren. There's a lot of guts in her writing. Taking something so short and making you feel like it tells your whole life story. I bought this book the day it became available and devoured it in 2 nights. I'll never have a bad thing to say about this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who has ever felt anything in their lives. It's personal, deep, biting, and so often comes from a place that can only be described as uniquely her. If there were more stars, I would give them freely.

A Siren from Atlantis Writes..ohhh the waters!
Cheeky, sassy and snappy. Quick wit with a sharp mind for a tart sweetness to matters of the love, heartache and healing. Enjoyed her take on the pathways for life's waters, her beginning, her Atlantis-- the siren was born!

Best Poetry Book This Year
I am falling more in love the more I read it.... Lauren bares her soul in the pages, without any regard to the audience. The raw confessions are tragic bliss. I hope it’s super successful because I believe many woman would relate and should read it.
