I gave it 5 stars as no reason to knock the product when it's supposed to be stupid hot. I was the stupid one for buying it. For those that love extreme heat then this will suite your needs great. We normally get the Nongshim Shin RED and sometimes the veggie green and that turns out is the perfect amount of spice for me if you don't add more than 2.5cups of water. I had a itch to try something new as I like a little bit of heat. Well boiled the ramen briefly, poured out most of the water. Put the packet in and heated it on high for a minute to get it a little sticky. My wife(not a spice person) tried a small bit and she was in pain. I ate about half the portion and it was just not worth eating. I might try it again with either more water or less sauce added. It truly does feel 2x to spicy for me. The RED and GREEN Shin ramen is the best value and taste for me. Black Shin is good but too spendy or at least for what I want to spend on it.

So let me start of by saying I am half mexican and used to eating really spicy. I love noodles and I have seen that people kept doing the spicy noodle challenge so I bought them to see if they were really spicy because I figured people were just being dramatic and let me tell you, THEY ARE! They don’t smell spicy but as you chew the spiciness kicks in and it hits you right in the face! Out of my family of 5 only one of my brothers and I were able to eat a whole package each without milk or water to calm the fire breath we each had. They are really good, flavor wise, and I’ll most likely eat another package tomorrow. I did like that my stomach didn't burn and I didn’t have fiery poops either so if you can handle the mouth pain then go for it, you won’t be dissapointed.

Yes, it's spicy, but it tastes really good! It's about as hot as jalapeño chilis. Flavorful and slightly sweet. I tasted the sauce packet when mixing it into the noodles, and my first thought was "yum!" I didn't need any other food or water, and even licked out the leftover sauce from my bowl, but I have a high heat tolerance. Slightly pricey in the USA as far as instant ramen goes, but one of the best tasting I've tried!

I wasn't too sure about all the hype, but thought I'd give it a try... Wow am I glad did did; loved it! I knew it was the real deal when I opened the package of "soup" to pour on the noodles and a black tar-like, extract looking ooze seeped out of the packet. And the flavor was great; an hint of sweetness to compliment the heat. I'll probably torture myself once a week with this going forward. Awesome value for the money too; 10/10!!

I am a Chilehead so this stuff isn't super spicy to me but has a little kick. I add superhot pepper powder to it to make it hot like lava. I am a fan. It looks and tastes really good. My only complaint is that it is all artificial, pretty much everything. The ingredient list reads like a science experiment. I will definitely buy again, however I do acknowledge that it is as fake as a Khardashian. Fake and delicious.

First off.... I see a lot of things labeled hot or spicy and barely live up to the name. Beware people, this absolutely lives up to it. It is almost down right cruel hot but good. It came yesterday and I wanted to try it. So I cooked a package, yikes it hit the tongue like a flame thrower! But you have to keep eating it for some strange reason. It took an hour for the burning of the lips and tongue to go away. Then night time hit...... I woke up to my intestines and bowels rejecting my decisions. The rumbling told me that I was in for quite a ride. They were correct. One bowl full of bad decisions led to several trips to the toilet that distinctly felt like bad decisions! I'm love hot food but this takes it to another level! Don't say no one warned you!

I haven't had this sensation of super hot burning lips since I was a kid trying spicy food for the first time. I like to slurp my noodles, but that's a bad idea here. I started coughing. I was in some kind of insane hallucinating world, where I could not hear the people around me. Just this insane burning. I actually got tears in my eyes. I had to keep eating bread when I got done. I want to try them again with some meat and veggies.
