Elmer’s Squishies Kids’ Activity Kit, DIY Squishy Toy Kit Creates 2 Mystery Characters, 12 Piece Kit

This kit makes 2 surprise squishies. We had never make any kind of slime of anything similar like this before. It comes with everything you need, and any of the messy stuff just gets thrown away at the end, so very minimal mess or clean up. Instructions were super simple. My 4 year old really enjoyed making these. We set a timer for 60 min after pouring them into the mold, and he was excited to open them up and see what they were. He was a little disappointed at the 2 we got (a pig and a chimp I think?), but he had looked through the little booklet with all the possible characters before and was hoping for some other ones. Our 2 colors were neon orange and neon pink. He still has played with them and thinks they’re cute, though he probably would have preferred other colors. That’s okay, it’s good to learn you don’t always get exactly what you would have chosen, but you can still have fun with it. You have slightly more liquid left in the bottom of your plastic cup than what it takes to fill the molds. I let it harden in there for 60min as well and then peeled them out of the plastic cups. This gave us little “stands” the animals can sit on which my son thought was cool. We got this on sale, and I’m happy with the value and quality of it. I’d buy again on another sale!

Excellent slime! This was our first time purchasing slime. I had a 7 year old, 9 year old and a 10 year old playing with it. This kept them busy laughing and creating for at least 2 hours and they didn’t even use all the slime up yet! This is a good quality. It wasn’t sticky to the touch and was easy to get off your hands (and out of hair haha). The thought of glitter worried me because, let’s face it, once you touch glitter it sticks around forever.....once you put it in your slime it does NOT come off on your hands! The kids were thrilled that they could each make multiple containers of it since there are so many included in the kit. We also discovered that it’s bubble slime and they enjoyed blowing bubbles as big as they could! This would be so fun for a birthday party and it’s a great value! I even purchased a second box for later :) We did do it outside because they were messy with the glitter. What they like There’s so many different options for things to add. The slime isn’t sticky It glows in the dark It comes in a variety of bright, cheery colors The only dislike It only stretches if you do it slowly. If you pull too fast, it’ll break. We LOVED it.

They take longer than 60 minutes to fully cure; it's best to leave them overnight- otherwise they're super sticky. These are super cute and easy to do with my boyfriends 5 year old. She loves collecting these now.

I made this with my son and we had a blast. I'm an artsy-crafty mom, so I was all about doing this as an afternoon activity together. The different components mix together into sort of a slime concoction, but it solidifies more instead of staying slimy, and becomes a sort of gelatinous, stress ball-like consistency. It's a lot of fun to play with, and with the remaining little bits in the 2 mixing cups we created half of another squishie with layered colors (I will update review with a pic if we every add more layers lol). The molds appear to be totally random. We ordered a second set and they were both different from the first set. The one issue I noticed is that the squishies do not come out as bright as the glue colors that you mix in. The colors become muted when you mix with the other solution. The same applies for glitter - the glitter itself doesn't sparkle very much after it mixes. That being said, it's still a good time.

I really enjoyed these because they're decently easy to make and they aren't as sticky as some similar things I've tried. They're a lot of fun!

Very easy for kids of all ages to use and the figurines came out great!

The kids spotted this in a Christmas catalog so Santa brought it for them to share. It was a fun activity, but I'm glad it was on sale when I purchased because it was also a pretty short-lived activity. We had trouble getting the squishies out of the molds, even after the allotted time, so we messed our first one up a bit. Luckily we were able to reclose the mold and it seemed to be OK when we gave it some extra time. It's not something I would buy again just because once the squishies were done and started to get gross (which doesn't take long) they were just trash. Is it a fun activity for a school break? Sure, but I would watch for it to go on sale.

My granddaughter loves making these! It definitely needs to be supervised, however she loves making these squishies.
