Amtech S1890 Waste Pipe and Drain Unblocker, Corrosion Resistant Galvanised Steel Sink Unblocker, 1.8m Length

Arrived two days (Ireland) later. Quality build. Does the job of unblocking the drain really well. Very easy to use and I clean it with equal part washing up liquid and thick bleach in a 5 litter bucket of water. The grease came off very easily. Highly reccommended.

OK, it's worth checking what you want this for. We had a blocked toilet (mini sweetcorn cob went down) and rodding the main drain didn't help because the blockage was in the u-bend. So I bought this and within 10 minutes of it arriving, it worked and my toilet is back to normal, saving me £100s on pumbing fees AND meaning that we have enough toilets for the guests arriving in the next few days -- so for me, this would be 5 stars EXCEPT it does scrape the enamel in the toilet bowl (someone else has posted a picture of theirs, that I see now). Ours is white, and now has metallic scratches in it. For us this time, no problem, because it's an old toilet in a utility. But for a nice bathroom or a new toilet... you might need a sleeve, or gentler rod, or something else maybe. Other points... Pro: cheap, came quickly, totally managed to bend around the u-bend, did the job, saved the day. Con: scratches enamel, and washing it is gross and fiddly because it's a spring full of gunk. Tip: is a bit bendy and whippy so you have to have a firm hand on it to steer it, and pull it out slowly when you're done if you don't want it to whip around flinging gunk. Overall it's a good bit of kit, and I'll be keeping it to use in the utility if ever needed again, but if my smart new main family bathroom toilet needs it, I'll be looking for something less scratchy. Good. Four stars.

Worked perfectly and cleared the blockage. Easy to use and clean

This is narrow enough to be used in a variety of drains but not quite stiff enough for use in a toilet. The end is also too floppy to remove anything remotely substantial. I found it kept turning back on itself.

A good item but slow delivery. They ship with Evri so no surprise its slow delivery.

I had a blocked kitchen sink waste. I had tried many different chemical drain unblockers even leaving overnight but the plastic waste remained semi blocked so much that the water would take a long time to drain from the sink. I had also removed all the waste pipes under the sink and checked various rodding points as I have access to the pipe runs in our basement. Nothing has worked, even leaving for a week while away it was still blocked somewhere. I had an idea where it was blocked and it looked like I was going to have to cut out the run of plastic waste to remove the problem. I also tried hoes pipes and wire but still nada. Anyway I bought this auger; I managed to enter the rodding point wind it around the tight 90 degree bend below the kitchen and then the auger did hit something hard; twisting it around and pushing it forward cleared the blockage. I still don't know what it was but I am pleased to say the kitchen sinks are now fine and water runs away as it used to! For me this auger worked a treat, thank you.

Rubbish product. Wasted money on a product that did not work, the material was flimsy and regardless of which way handle/coil was turned the product came back out of the drain, had to get professional plumber to come instead. Poor product.

We had a blocked pipe and tried all the drain buster drain cleaners with no luck, so bought this , put it down the pipe, had a few goes to get it to go arounds bends, in the end we decided to cut off the larger round bit to make this process easier after it wouldnt go past. Then we succeeded and afterwards then poured more mr muscle down, lots of boiling water then it finally worked! This has saved the cost of a plumber. Happy customer.

Semble très solide, capable d'entrer facilement dans n'importe quelle conduite à partir d'une quinzaine de millimètres. Mon tuyau a été débouché en quelques minutes. Parfait donc, je recommande

Al menos en mi caso, resultado 100% satisfactorio. Yo lo he usado a partir del sifón del desagüe de la cocina y así entra a la perfección. Bien en alguna curva o bien en el tapón que producía el atasco ha costado un poco seguir avanzando, pero retorciendo la guía y retrocediendo un poco y volviendo a insistir en 10 minutos tenía el atasco liberado... llegando a estar los 5m de la guía completamente metidos en la cañería. Aprovechando su fácil uso he comprobado también los desagües del lavavajillas, de la lavadora y de la ducha.
