Does the white lettering glow in the dark in the bedroom? I need to be able to sleep, so it can't glow. Anyone know?

There is no glow to this clock. It is very large and easy to see if there is light in the room. I doubt if it could be read in a dark bedroom.

Is the face of the covered with clear plastic?

The dial and frame of this 10" wall clock are made of plastic and the clock face is glass. The packaging is wrapped in bubble wrap, thank you.
