Chicken Feeders No Waste, DIY Automatic Poultry Feeder - 4 Ports Red

This DIY feeder kit has worked very well for our chickens. Installation was straightforward, and the included hole saw made it easy to add the ports cleanly to a bucket. Everything fit together properly, and the covers snap on securely. Once set up, feed waste was noticeably reduced. The chickens learned to use the feeder quickly, and far less feed ends up on the ground compared to open troughs. The gravity-fed design keeps feed flowing consistently without clogging. The ports feel sturdy and have held up well to regular use. The covers are a nice touch for keeping feed protected from rain and moisture, especially in outdoor setups. We’ve used this on a bucket-style feeder, and it’s been reliable so far. Overall, this is a practical, cost-effective way to build a no-waste feeder using materials you already have. It saves feed, keeps things cleaner, and works exactly as intended. A solid option for anyone looking to improve their poultry feeding setup.

Works very well. Unlike many of the other options, the 90° bend (pointed down) keeps feed from leaking out, even with crumble. Easy to install with the included hole saw. If installing on a round surface (e.g., a 5 gallon bucket), it may work better to put the gasket on the inside. Use an oil filter wrench if you have one to tighten the threaded ring. I've been using these as pictured below for a couple of weeks now with absolutely no waste. Will update this review if anything happens, but so far these have been great.

I recently purchased these chicken feeder ports, and I have to say, they have been a fantastic addition to our coop! They fit on 1/2" OSB, which made installation a breeze. I did notice that the threads could be a bit deeper for a more secure hold, but they still seem to do the job well. One of the most noticeable improvements has been the significant reduction in wasted feed. Before installing these ports, we were constantly dealing with spilled feed everywhere. Now, the chickens have easy access to their food, and it stays where it belongs. They took to the ports immediately without any hesitation, which speaks volumes about their design and usability. Overall, I highly recommend these chicken feeder ports for anyone looking to minimize feed waste and provide a more efficient feeding solution for their flock!

We had the typical mason jar feeder but the little chickies wasted sooo much food that we needed to find a “no waste” feeder. I am not being paid or compensated in anyway by saying this, but this is probably the best kind of feeder out there to reduce waste. I have included a picture of how much “waste” is on the ground. Virtually none! Note that I also included a small piece of plywood below the feeders, and I have seen my chickens eat the food droppings now which previously if it was on the ground, they did not eat it. I’m extremely happy with this product and would highly recommend it to everyone. Also fast and easy to install! I have had it about a week now. They love it.

Works very well and for a lot better of a price than you would find at stores just make sure you seal them up at night or else the rats will steal your food

For the price you can’t beat these feeders! They’re the cheapest that I could find that were also good in value. The assembly was super easy and the Instructions were easy to follow. These feeders were moderately thick and sturdy. So far I haven’t had any issues with the seals leaking. They seem fairly easy to wash. My chickens love this feeder because they can just come and go eating at their own will. I attached my feeders to a five gallon bucket and it lasts my chickens almost a week before I need to fill it again. I would never use a different feeder again, this has been a life saver.

I have one stupid chicken who thinks the best food must somehow be hidden at the bottom of it all, and was costing me half the feed I bought by just digging in it and flinging it all over the ground where it got rained on, was left to rot, and built up a pile of terrible, smelly mess I regularly had to clean up. I was at the very end of my rope and ready to just get rid of the problem chicken, but I tried this product first. These feeder ports completely shut down her obnoxious food flinging! Do yourself a favor: Get a square or rectangular (The ports do WAY better on flat surfaces) clear plastic trash can (So you can see the feed level at a glance), about 4 feet tall (To hold a standard 50lb sack of chicken feed), with a rain-tight lid. Build a wooden cradle or frame for the bottom of it so it doesn't blow over in a storm or on uneven ground. Attach your ports. Feeds 4 large chickens for 2 1/2 months - no more wasted money, time cleaning smelly piles of rotten feed and filling small feeders every few days! Combine this with a rain-catching barrel with drinking valves, and a solar coop door that opens and shuts on a timer, and you can go away for weeks and let your chickens take care of themselves.
