hansgrohe Croma 160 1jet Showerpipe Chrome 27135000, Overhead Shower 160 mm, Set of 2 Pieces [Energy Class A]

Had this installed almost a year ago. Bathroom fitter very impressed with build quality. In use, an excellent shower from both the over-head drench rose and hand-held. The best thing - a definite ‘stop’ on the control bar when you’re finished - no second-guessing ‘have I found the right spot’ to prevent it dripping. An excellent product.

I decided to replace my shower and chose this Hansgroe twin headed shower because of the good feedback it received and I am a complete convert. The weight and quality of this shower is exceptional and a great showering experience. Definite 5 star.

cannot believe we put up with electric showers for over thirty years.After staying in some nice 5 star hotels in Asia we realised we had to have a decent shower so after lots of research we picked this one and its brilliant, worth buying a decent 1.8bar pump, the rain shower effect is great

This shower is expensive but it is from a quality German manufacturer. The finish is great and the engineering is what you would expect for this price. The handheld shower has 4 settings and it is nice to have the choice. Setting 1 is quite a powerful jet and 4 is almost a rain setting (the system has the overhead rain shower as well). To switch between them is just by a flick of the thumb The shower thermostat controls are smooth and work as expected.A couple of things to point out: The handheld shower fits into the holder very tightly if you don't leave it just resting in the holder, it needs a good yank to get it out (I hope this eases a bit with use). The holder itself is designed to allow different angles to be selected for the handheld shower. The ratchet system is initially so stiff you think you are going to break it when trying to change angle. After a week of use it still gives out a hefty click as you change the angle but it has eased off enough to be usable without huge force (I guess it will ease further with use).On a technical note I bought this shower as a replacement for an existing system. The input pipes spacing is based on the standard 150mm centres :-) The new system comes with new (and good quality) dog leg reducers but on inspection of my current set-up I wasn't going to easily remove the existing ones so I left those in place (the pipes that protrude from the wall). The new shower ideally needs the pipes to protrude 36mm from the wall. My current ones only protrude 28mm :-(. However I managed to attach the new shower to the old pipe work by using the existing rubber washers on top of the new filter washers AND by not using the new shiny pipe collar covers. The existing collars were 15mm depth rather than the 23mm ones that came with the new shower. A shame, but no big deal. The shower could then be installed with no issue. If you can use the new dog legs to come out of the wall then you won't have the issue ..but that is a bigger job (and a bit more skill is needed!)Update after 9 months...all good still..added a cheap soap dish to the pipe...as expected the ratchet (changes the angle of shower head) and the shower head holder are no longer as stiff as when they were new. Very happy with this shower.

Excellent quality product, typical German. Replaced a gravity fed Aqualisa which was very good even with only 500mm head of water.Installed a Baxi 28kW Platinum combi which is great but had to change my Aqalisa shower for a high pressure one.I now little about gas and water systems etc. so I considered many makes and the best value for money and quality was the Hansgrohe Croma 160 which I have been exceptionally pleased with. The best price by quite some margin was buying through Amazon. I highly recommend it.

Top quality product and £100 plus cheaper than uk companies, all connections and fittings are supplied and are of very good quality, took just over a week to arrive but I was not in a rush, I would use again

Nothing to dislike, works perfectly on a high pressure system, constant flow and temperature. Build quality is excellent.
