Amazing, amazing, amazing. If you’re looking for a toothache relief, this is as good as it gets. While awaiting my dental appointment, my tooth decided it had enough and the nagging pain was becoming more evident by the day. When I fist applied this medicine (using a q-tip is perfect for it, one end for outside and another end for the inside of the gum), I felt a bit of numbness and assumed it would work similarly to lidocaine. But a few moments later the numbness went away and pain didn’t kick in. It just felt normal—with no residue like an ointment creates, no taste, no awareness of the application whatsoever. I reapplied it only 7 hours later and the pain wasn’t fully back when I did so, just some sense of discomfort started coming back. I’ll never consider any other temporary dental relief again (and I’ve tried a few over the years) because it simply can’t be better than this. I sincerely recommend it to anyone who is in pain and looking for a temporary solution to their toothache.

I use a q-tip with this good product to apply coverage of sore/cuts in my mouth. It does not sting as harshly as other brands, and numbs the ache for a good while to where I don't notice the pain anymore. Taste is a little bitter but not has harsh as other. Should last a while for amount. cheaper than name brand.

Oh my goodness, when Amazon delivered this, I felt like kissing the feet of the delivery person! If you have any kind of problems in your mouth, this completely numbs it and let me tell you, I have a severe infection, and I need a root canal, the tooth is completely dead, but the pain, the pain I most definitely feel! When I ANBESOL the pain completely goes away! Mind you, I’m not exactly cheap with it and put it on generously which I’m sure I should not be doing, but hey, I’m in pain! Buy it keep it on hand for an emergency, seriously, I will never ever be without this stuff for the rest of my life if I can help it. This is now a part of my first aid kit!

Years ago when I got this it had a stick within the cap with a foamy round piece on the bottom so you could direct the. liquid where you were having discomfort. But now I guess they figured after you use it once and put that back into the jar it could contaminate the remaining liquid. Also if another family member needed. to use it that wouldn’t be that great. So I used a q-tip or I should say several. Its the first time since i was a kid that I needed this for not one but several teeth or my gums in one area. It worked right away, including getting my tongue and lip numb but I didn’t care I just wanted the pain to go away and this gave it time to heal on its own without having to go to the dentist. I think the taste is somewhat odd because you get numb so quickly and it last quite a while which is good. This came quickly, overnight which was great because I didn’t want my husband to have to run out for it at the store so late.

Doesn’t taste fantastic, but it did an amazing job of numbing the pain & giving relief for a broken molar until I could get to a dentist… Effective & easy to use. I applied the gel with a cotton gauze square to hold it in place until it could work into the gum as well.

OMG! I just got my Anbesol, I put it on instantly and with in seconds I was pain free. I'll keep this in the house.

I keep this on hand for various dental problems. I dab on area inside mouth or gums with a cotton swab. It numbs the area good. Dentist said it's good because it acts an antiseptic.
