Faber-Castell Metallic Gel Sticks 6 Count

I know these are made for kids not like the Gelatos that Faber Castell make too. These are a very good replacement for those gelatos which are very highly priced. Ive used these with gelatos and cannot honestly see a difference in the use of. The only difference is they are not permanent as the gelatos are. They need a sealant if your going to preserve your craft work. I can say they are amazingly soft and easy to use. They blend beautifully with Caran Dache Neo watercolour crayons, Inktense block colours and other gel type crayons. The colours work with fingers to blend, sponges and a hint of water, brushes and all kinds of possibilities are endless. I love them and they are just part of my stash of gelatos without worrying what quality I have. Perfect if your budget is running a little low after buying EVERYTHING you need to create mixed media art.

Purchased this item to use for mixed media work. I have used the sticks for colouring embossed backgrounds for cards. They give really good results and are very simple to use. Haven't used them for mixed media yet but don't think they will disappoint. Very creamy consistency and easily blendable. Would recommend to anyone in the art and craft world.

These are fabulous and good value for money

Like creamy crayons. Haven't tried them properly, but had a quick try and found the Gold to be a true gold that mixed easily with a wet brush but had trouble get the other colours to mix - have to have a proper look at them. Sorry this is a bit of a confusing review

Bought these to go with my more expensive Gelatos. These are metallic and seem to be made of the same materials, just a lot cheaper! Very happy with them, they are soft and creamy and can be used in a lot of crafts including rubber stamping. A great Faber Castell product.

These metallic gel sticks work beautifully on artist trading cards and journals. I even made a spray with it and it was just gorgeous - Colour was light almost pastel with a beautiful sheen. Love them!

Love gellatos. Use them as crayons, paint, spray, instead of inks. These are creamy with a pearlescent finish. Rub them with your finger to spread and see the shine.

This impressive set of gel sticks boasts rich and vibrant colors. They go on creamy-smooth, and you can apply water for a watercolor effect. I’m getting started in Bible journaling, and there are lots of artists using these to create veritable masterpieces of art in their Bibles. I am far from being an artist, but I feel like one while using these “Gelatos.” They indulge my creative bent!

Haven't had a to use this as much as I would like. Have used it once and like the results.

LOVE THESE! These are amazing; you can watercolor with them, and use dry and blend them like pastels. The consistency is a little harder than lipstick. They blend beautifully! I use them to color in stamped images, and for artwork and to add shimmer on top of markered images. I even combined these with water and put them in Tim Holtz/Ranger Mini Mister bottles and made my own shimmery mists in the colors I wanted. Similar mists are $5 and up each! There are many tutorials on YouTube if you want more information. These have become so popular with crafters I could not find them for a good price anywhere else except Amazon. This is not considered artist grade but I think they are good enough and are wonderful.I recommend you also buy the 12 count non - metallic gel sticks.
