Q: Do they make replacement sponges in this size?

D'Addario does not offer replacement sponges for this size. They do for the larger size for guitar, but not this size. Your choices would appear to be either buy the larger sponges (they're on here in packs of 3 - item GHRS) and cut them down to fit, or by another humidifier.

Q: Hello, I have a form fitting case for my erhu (Chinese violin) and would need to know the exact dimensions of this humidifier to see whether it fits?

The humidifier itself is 3x2x1. 5x5x1.5 are the dimensions of its packaging.

Q: Does this work in a soft canvass case?

Remember that the sponge needs to be damp but not soggy and the use of distilled water. I have used it in one of my soft cases and have not seen any mildew. I have been using the humidifier for only three months, during the summer, and so far it is what I needed.
