Peppermint Essential Oil 100ml Mentha Piperita - 100% Pure & Natural Essential Oils

Bought to deter rats from both under floor and in loft.........No clinking of claws on pipes under foot downstairs and no scuttling in the loft since applying. I might of gone overboard but I even spayed a watered down solution into the guttering on the overhang of our extension as I thought they may of gained entry here. We have poisoned the little s***s, bought plug in devices and shot any on sight with an air rifle but until now have heard them every night for months. I forced saturated cotton wool pads under floor around radiator pipes and scattered in the loft after finding and destroying an obvious nest and all has remained quiet ever since. Yes, there is a strong and heady scent of peppermint throughout the whole house but it is quite pleasant and calming, I intend to re-dose sometime soon, it's a great way to get rid these horrible little bleeders while making the house smell very calming and relaxing. Highly recommended for rat expulsion or for a relaxing and calming fragrance in your rat less home.

This stuff has lasted me ages. I use it in three ways: I put about 10 drops in an air purifier - one of those globe-like things you add water to and a small motor on top agitates the water. I also use it in a wax burner - just a cheap Airwick one. I've stopped buying wax melts and I instead simply re-melt the same wax and add drops of peppermint oil each time. It doesn't need replenishing very often. Finally when I remember to, I use a spray bottle with water and a few drops of oil to generally spray around the room. I love the fresh clean smell it has. Another bonus is that I bet I don't see more than two spiders a year (I'm touching wood as I type this - if you'll excuse the phrase). I also have a couple of those ultrasonic, electromagnetic plugin things which I've had for years. I guess the two things together may be really working for me. There are some very unfair low-star reviews on here where the oil has failed to get rid of mice for the buyer: it doesn't claim in the description to get rid of anything or to be anything other than what it is. Lots of people really don't understand how reviews should work unfortunately.

I ordered this oil after hearing constant scratching in one of the walls at home. For fear that rodents were about to set up camp in my abode, I mixed the peppermint oil with water and sprayed it into key corners around the house. As well as leaving the place smelling fantastic, the oil seemed to put a near-immediate stop to the uninvited guests' plans. Never to be seen or heard from again. I love the smell so much, that I use the spray every few weeks whenever I do a deep clean. It's a pleasant way to combat a potential problem.

Good quality oil, good strong smell, and pleased with the bottle. Quite a decent size bottle but was pretty expensive.

Great quality, I bought it last year as well. I mainly use it on curtains and around windows as a natural spider repellent, and so far it’s worked quite well.

So, my peppermint oil product arrived with damaged packaging. Not enough had leaked to warrant the hassle of return etc, but the lids of these bottles are clearly not doing their job and they are bound to leak extremely strong-smelling contents into the packaging and onto anything they touch. The Post Office put the parcel in a plastic envelope to prevent contents further spilling and getting onto everything (which they still did once I opened it) but you might want to do something about it rather than rely on a lazy customer not returning goods. Especially as essential oils are quite full-on and I felt a bit woozy after opening the package indoors. Otherwise, the smell is a nice and refreshing mint, my home has since Monday smelled like toothpaste, and hopefully the rats I am concerned were in the garage will find shelter elsewhere from now on... 🤞🤞🤞

After reading several reviews regarding this product I decided to take the plunge and buy several bottles in the hope of combating a spider infestation in the old house I have recently purchased. (we have had 105 spiders in the kitchen alone in a space of 12 weeks so Im quite freaked out at the moment!) I literally sprinkled about 4 bottles of the peppermint oil around the house and the smell was wonderful, my whole house seemed fresh and clean. The peppermint seemed to get stronger as the hours past and by night time I found I had to cover my face so I had obviously used far too much (I didn't dilute it) Although I am still seeing spiders I do think I have definitely seen a decrease in the population (either that or the spiders are just waiting for the smell to dissipate! ) I can't really say whether the peppermint has sent the spiders packing because I have so many to deal with however, the product is worth a buy because of the smell alone. The bottles arrived in good time and are very well packed and I would definitely recommend. I will be purchasing more.
