This is choice
I wanted black gravel for a betta tank. The first gravel I tried (bought locally) quickly started losing its paint so I needed a replacement. I decided on glass gravel . . . but that product came and was TINY - think smaller than nerds candy.I bought a couple different brands, not enough to fill the tank but enough to see if I liked it before buying more. This is the clear winner. It arrives in a plastic box which is nice enough to reuse. the gravel needed a rinse but afterwards was clean. It is listed as glass . . . I am not sure if it is glass or stone, but it is pretty. The size is as listed. It does reflect the light more than the smaller gravel, so if you want a flat or dark black this is too reflective to give that. It is a bit of a challenge getting it out of the box without spilling (hold it over a large bowl). The price (currently) is about the same as other gravels of this kind. I am happy enough to buy another package.

tiny polished black pebbles
I purchased these to put on the top of planter to keep the water and a little warmth in on my succulents through the winter. They are very tiny, but beautiful - polished black roundish pebbles. Work perfectly in my opinion and look very nice. For some reason our shopper ranks are no longer visible - so, to give you a little more info about me, I am a top 50 reviewer (#30 the highest rank achieved). Those numbers used to fluctuate over time - up and down but I noticed that they stopped updating regularly - perhaps to phase them out. I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - nearly 6,000 reviews, viewed over 50,000 times, nearly 24,000 likes. Most importantly, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Nice change of color
Using this for topping around one of my potted cactus just for a different color. Looks nice.

Excellent product, packaging could be better
The gravel is perfect for mini terrariums. The colors are great (I ordered green and purple) and it's the perfect size--small enough not to overwhelm the small terrariums I used but large enough to be easy to work with. The only reason I rated it a 4/5 is because one of the containers popped open in transit, spilling a good bit of the gravel into the envelope. Luckily it was only one of the two, because separating the colors would have been a nightmare.

This gravel is beautiful
I bought this to mix with Aqueon substrate for a 29 gallon tank. The aqueon substrate is flat black and I wanted this to sparkle to it and to help my snails and Cory catfish by having a smooth substrate for them without using sand. The 2 pounds is not much so I’ll need maybe 2 more packs, but this is beautiful smooth gravel. I chose the purple and it is true to the pictures in the description. I plan on adding other quartz crystals and a tall amethyst crystal wand, and I think it will look amazing. It is pricey, but really good qualityHad to update: I ordered more for my aquarium! I mixed it with a dark flat black smooth substrate and the purple adds little pops and sparkles just the way I wanted it to! It’s beautiful and worth the price, at least for me

Nice and colorful glass
Nice glass beads but very costly if you need much. Would be great for decorative vases and such!

Blue is very pretty
I got 3 orders of the 2 lbs for a 3 gallon rectangular fish tank. In the picture is a total of 6 lbs. I did sterilize and sifted them in hot water first which helped me remove some sharp ones as well as random colored ones. These are great for smaller fishes and it’s easier to vacuum through the glass pebbles.

Nice decorative stones
This was perfect for my 2 succulents that I planted using the white stone as a base.

Just as pictured
They are definitely black stones. They appear to be keeping flies from laying eggs in my plants so fit for purpose I'd say.
