These are great
Before installing these I watched a few YouTube videos, so I had a good idea on what to expect when installing. Total time for me was 3 hours to put the bags and compressor in. When I hauled my trailer for the first time it was a totally different experience.

Good product when used appropriately
I have a 2014 RAM 2500 truck and a trailer with a high tongue weight. I use an Equalizer hitch but have to put a lot of tension in the bars to level the truck and trailer. After using the air springs, I have realized that putting air in the springs will raise the truck and decrease the weight distribution effect. I believe the correct way to set this up is to level the truck as much as possible with the weight distribution hitch. Then use the air shocks to fine tune the level but even 5 PSI is going to take weight off the WD bars and move it onto the truck. I think these air springs are best suited to a truck or truck/trailer without a WD hitch. Then, when heavily loaded they will raise the back end and protect the suspension from sagging. They do NOT add to your payload limit. The installation was easy enough. I used a high lift jack under my hitch to raise the back of the truck enough to get the air bags in. It was not necessary to lift the tires off the ground or remove them. There was one screw missing but fortunately ACE Hardware had one that was almost identical so I didn't have to wait for a replacement part in the mail. I measured each of the long carriage bolts so that the clamp was the same distance on each side, and therefore parallel to the air bag base plate. The instructions didn't say to do that but I think it is a good idea. Then I torqued the nuts with a torque wrench and cut off the excess threads. My truck already has an on-board air compressor and tank for my air horns. The self leveling kit sounds nice but it is expensive and I wanted to use my air system. I bought an Air Lift 21703 Paddle Valve Switch and installed it in near my license plate. It connects to my air tank and connects to both air bags.
