2 Dead Units and vendor support AWOL
UPDATE #3: Unit #2 has dies after a couple of weeks. No response from customer support since reported end of last week. Going back to manual vacuuming and abandoning this product. Looks like I am screwed out of the purchase price as vendor is not responding.UPDATE #2: The service team promptly responded to my email request for support. They provided a RMA and prepaid shipping label for unit return with plan to drop ship me a replacement upon shipping confirmation. While this was in process, I was able to get my original unit working properly again. Although I will not be swapping the unit out at this time, it is good to know there is a quality support team and process standing behind the product.UPDATE: The quality issues with prior products from this company continue with this version. 40 days after receipt, the product will not charge. Power supply is providing rated voltage per my meter.Timing could not be worse for failure. Everything is blooming here and I have had to run unit 3 days in a row. Looks like I will have to break out the old suction side manual vacuum until this is resolved. Dropping rating pending feedback to my email to vendors service address.ORIGINAL REVIEW:So I have been watching this market for some time now and was wondering what this new version would do. I had no idea how much invisible stuff was on the pool bottom until the first cleanout.Run time was a little bit longer than 2 hours.Recharge was right around 2 1/2 hours. So I got in two runs in one day. Second run had a lot less sand & silt.Cleanup is easy with a bottom unit where the debris collects, a flat filter above the bottom unit, and the top with the turbines and battery. I hose it all down to get the debris and the saltwater out of it.It climbs up from the 5’ to 3’ section even when battery is low (7.5% grade). It goes up the walls the length of the unit when the transition is curved.Only drawback is it doesn’t turn enough to keep from getting stuck in a 8’ wide section of the pool. I just check on it and turn it with my pool pole. No issues with 12’ plus section.

I like this robot… my new pool boy that I called viper!
I purchased this because my neighbor planted bamboo on her side of the fence. Bamboo is a mess! I have pop-up heads on the bottom of my pool that push all debris down to the main drain. After winter when everything has dried out in the wind starts to blow all those bamboo leaves fly into my pool, sink, then get pushed down to the main drain by the pop-up heads. It forces the pump to work twice as hard because it can’t get circulation. I have a cracked skimmer so that’s been turned off. I placed “viper” in the pool and it worked beautifully the first time. I’ve probably used it eight times total and has worked each and every time. My pool has a pebble bottom, so I feel it grips the bottom of the pool differently then it would if I had a normal flat bottom pool. I do have a slight pitch from 4 feet to 6 feet and the pool is small, 22x11. I was worried that it wasn’t going to be able to make it up and down the hill, but it does pretty darn well! Sometimes it can’t get up the slight slope, but then it rolls back down and tries again, and sure enough it gets all the way into the shallow end. The wheels are a hard plastic. They seem to be hollow. I think the wheels get scruffed-up because of my pebble bottom and the gripping of the wheels might diminish as time goes by, which is needed to go up and down the hill. I’m not sure about this. I hope it doesn’t happen, but I feel that the wheels are wearing down a little as I use it. There are a couple of areas that it truly crawls up the wall and gets stuck. But I’ve left it alone for maybe one minute and watched to see what it would do. It pushes water from the back which forces it forward. I was amazed that it was able to fix itself from being stuck. This cleaner takes about two hours to charge, and it really does run two hours in the pool. It collects all the bamboo leaves that have sunk to the bottom. I do help it by getting the floating leaves and some of the sunken bamboo leaves. It picks up a great deal of sand too.I was going to buy big blue plastic blankets that I would lay on top of the pool every fall but that just seemed like too much work for me! I am so happy I purchased this. I just hope it lasts for at least two years. After that, I might consider the next upgrade or bigger version of the AIPER.I’m in Central Florida

Lasted 10 months..
Great for our pool when it worked, we have an irregular shaped pool, previous corded version would tangle. Thought this was a great upgrade but started having charging issues, thought it was corrosion in one pole of charger, bought a new charger but the cleaner is dead. Think I will just go back to vacuuming...

Vacuum Won't Hold Charge
I purchased the Aiper Seagull Plus on April 30, 2023. I had to return the Seagull Plus two prior times because one of the spring shut doors breaks very easily. The same thing happened again with this third one I got. Now, on June 24, it won't hold a charge. The power indicator light will show a solid blue color, which means the vacuum is fully charged. When it's turned on and placed in the pool, it stays still and powers off. I have had this thing for less than two months. I called customer service, and the automated voice says they are experiencing a high call volume, that they'll call you back, then it the line disconnects. Stay away from this brand. I am out $300 dollars now. The vacuums don't work that well for the money you're paring.UPDATE: I emailed Aiper and they sent me a refurbished model. I've had it for less several months. It initially worked fine. Eventually one of the doors fell off the vacuum. Now it only moves a few feet, then changes direction a few feet, and repeats. Then it dies in the middle of the pool. I would stay away from these vacuums. They are expensive and don't last long. Just my two cents.

Not perfect, but very good, until it dies..... see UPDATEs
The media could not be loaded. Update: The unit is 1 month old and is dead (July 1). Have not used it in 5 days so charged it over night. Put in pool minutes ago and it worked for 30 seconds and stopped dead. Hoping I can get through to Customer Service.Video attached.Update 2: (July 3) Phone number on their website does not work..... Email address does work. I am being sent a replacement cleaner and a return authorization for the return of the broken one. Stay tuned.Update 3: Customer support has called me and set up a free return of my defective cleaner (which I sent via UPS 2 days ago). They have assured me that a replacement was sent out yesterday (July 6). They made many phone calls to me and many emails. So, they are trying to make this situation right. Stay tuned and see how the replacement cleaner works out.....Update 4: Heard from Customer Support today (July 11) that the replacement was NOT sent out to me last week like they said. Back-ordered until at least July 20 now! It would appear that maybe August is when I will get it. I could order another one on Amazon and have it tomorrow...... Looks like half of my pool season will be without my new automatic cleaner. Hope the new unit works and no warranty claims are needed as it will only see about 1 month of use when/if I get it.....Update 5: Customer service emailed and told me that they would refund my entire purchase price so that I could order a new one on Amazon and have it tomorrow (July 13) instead of having to wait until August. Stay tuned to see if the refund comes through without issue.Update 6: Ordered and received new unit through Amazon. It works exactly as the original unit. Same shortcomings with my pool. No worries. Aiper refunded me my original purchase price but NOT the shipping costs. So I am out $12.99 from the original purchase.Update 7. Replacement unit was delivered on July 13 and has worked fine 2 to 3 times per week since. That was until today when it died on me in the exact same matter as the first unit I bought earlier this summer. I have started a new dialogue with Aiper and we shall see where this goes. 2 units purchased this swim season and both have died. I will not be buying a third unit.I have a small non standard shaped sports pool that is about 12 feet by 26 feet with 2 very slight slopes. This cleaner does a very good job. It consistently misses the same two spots in the pool but collects everything else. I simply use my brush prior to starting and brush the dirt from these 2 spots. I believe that the angles of my corners cause the missed spots. All in all it’s a good investment and a time saver. We are happy we bought it.

Great product - update it's been 3 months..it's dead - update
Honestly had my doubts about this vacuum, but it does work well. It goes up our incline in the pool which is more than the advertised 15 degrees it can do. It doesn't always go up, but it does sometime if it has a full run at the slight incline from the deep end to the shallow. It picks up all the dirt, sand and bugs, no problem. The only negative is that when pulling it out of the pool with the grab handle (included) It will tilt the machine vertically and if you're not doing it quickly, you'll see a lot of the dirt and stuff fall out of the flap on the front of the machine. If the grab handle was in the center of the machine it would probably mitigate this. Or you can go in the pool and pick it out yourself. Otherwise I really do like this machine and it works really well!Update 1: it is now sept.11. I received and used this on may 25th for the first after following the instructions to charge it etc. Yesterday I tried to use it. It turns on but won't move and then sits at the bottom of the pool until it shuts off. Can't figure out how to contact customer service.Update 2: on Sept. 15 I received a replacement refurbished unit right away. They sent it overnight. Customer service was great. They provided a return label and I had to drop off the broken unit. So far the new unit works great. Hopefully this one lasts..but now we are closing the pool so I'm hoping the warranty is equally is good in the spring next year when we re open the pool.

It's good
The media could not be loaded. Only reason I didn't give 5* is because it keeps stopping at the wall and has to be moved to keep going, also doesn't last 110 mins. Keeps my pool clean, But I have to keep watch ..

Not worth it even at the low price....
I was very hopeful and excited about the robot vacuum - I have an in ground curved pool - it would kind of even go up the sides of the pool - but the robot only goes back and forth (it does not move in all directions which is not good) - it goes back and forth in same direction only and would seem to always find the deepest part of the pool and just go back and forth in the exact same spot over and over for ever until I got the hook and moved it - but eventually it would find it's way back to that one spot and stay in the deepest part of the pool and go back and forth over and over and not go in any other direction or any other spot. My in-home robot vacuum goes in all directions and covers the whole house - why would Aiper only have vacuum go back and forth in same direction for whole pool? Why does it seem stay in the deepest part of pool and not move over as its supposed to to cover the whole floor? I was going to keep the vacuum as it's a good price and I decided I would just have to monitor it while it works and move it everytime it would stay stuck in that one spot in the deepest part of the pool. But after only 2 weeks the whole thing did not work - first light red and would never turn green to show a charge - then no light at all and no power.Luckily I could return it and got my $460 back from Amazon!I spend $1000 on a Polaris - it goes in all directions, up the walls fully, and is not battery operated but plug in which is better (more power, less problems in future with battery) and it's been 3 weeks now with the Polaris and it seems to be a Cadillac compared to the Aiper.

Worked for 10 minutes, then broke
After reading reviews, I was hopeful that this vacuum would work well. I put it in my pool. It worked for 5-10 minutes going back and forth, then kept getting stuck, red light blinking and would shut off. I realized the motor was only allowing it to go in one direction, the second direction was broken (would shut off after 5 minutes). I also noticed it was very cheaply made, with a piece of plastic falling off under the unit within 5 minutes. Safe to say, I returned it. Disappointing.
