Very thin and light weight
Very thin but that what I wanted. Perfect under a hard hat.

Ultralight, ultrathin, and warm enough for fall/spring weather.
Although it does not always stay over my ears the way that I would like it to it does the job. Keeps my head warm with just one layer and it fits under all of my helmets, military or otherwise.

Paper thin, why would they even make this
I don’t know what this is, but it’s not a beanie. Paper thin. Gas station toilet paper has more thickness than this. Will not add any warmth to your head whatsoever. Why would this even exist, and why would you call it a name of something that you would wear for cold weather. Next up, they will give you a wet T-shirt and call it a parka.

Great Quality, Wrong Climate
Beautifully made beanie — lightweight merino wool with a clean, comfortable fit. Honestly I would have kept it just for the quality but living in Las Vegas means I have about zero use for it. If you're somewhere that actually gets cold, this is a great pick. Might order it again someday when I travel somewhere that requires it!

Summer and Winter Base Layering - will keep your exterior caps from getting nasty
I have seen the light. The light of wearing merino wool base layers even in the stank of Florida heat. I've never been able to comfortably wear ballcaps when the weather is hot, because ultimately they soak up every bit of moisture my head creates and they become sweaty, stinky, and chafe. Enter this very thin merino wool beanie. I wear it under my ballcap and it is responsible for wicking the sweat off my head. I wear it under a knit cap when the weather drops below 40*F and it is responsible for wicking the sweat off my head. In both circumstances it keeps my head the proper temperature as well as dry, and that moisture doesn't make it's way into the outer layer (hat) as quickly. It is very quick drying, so when it gets saturated by perspiration a quick rinse under cool water, a wring-out, and 30min or so hanging on a tree branch will have it back in action for you. My hats don't stink anymore. My head stays cooler. I can't sing the praises of this thing enough. I had no idea this concept existed but honestly - WEAR BASE LAYERS ON YOUR HEAD.

It's nice but not thick
This beanie is good for a brisk chilly day where you won't be spending the day outside. It's thin but fairly warm for how thin it is. If you want a beanie for skiing or being outdoorsy in the winter, this isn't it.

Unusually thin
The beanie is unusually thin, almost too thin to be of practical use—for example, keeping your head warm. If your goal is some kind of fashion statement, this beanie is perfect, and can be comfortably worn on very warm days. I usually wear a brimmed hat when hiking, and I'll have no problem wearing this beanie under my hat for whatever extra warmth it may give.

I really like this
I had this item and used it for several years but misplaced it so I ordered a new one. I usually have my head shaved and I use this when I just want a little warmth up there when it’s a bit cool outside. It’s very lightweight which is perfect for me. It covers what it needs to cover. My head is average in size and this fits it well, and it seems like there would be enough fabric to cover a larger head. It is very comfortable against my skin. I really like this item.

Sehr dünn
Die Mütze ist extrem dünn.

Molto sottile

Superb for Hiking
Been wearing these for years. Lightweight but warm, even when wet. Best for outdoor exertion in temperatures around 0-15 C.

Thin but warm
Thinner than expected but works as a night cap. Tag inside is itchy and hard to cut away cleanly without risk of damage to the seam

Thinner than before!
This is my third Smartwool beanie and as several other buyers have noted it’s very thin. Much thinner than my previous two and nowhere near the quality of my Brass Monkeys merino beanie ( made in New Zealand)! I’ll keep it for those slightly chilly Spring walks in the country but I cant see it being much use in the proper cold days. Brass Monkeys will come into their own then. 😀
