VNN Adjustable Trailer Hitch with 6-Inch Drop – Dual-Ball (1-7/8" & 2") Hitch for 2-Inch Receiver, 10,000 lbs GTW, Heavy-Duty Ball Mount – Silver (VN0003)

This ball and hitch are rated at 15,000 lbs. I have one GVWR dump trailer rated at 14,000 lbs. I've hauled two loads of material (GVWR of 11,000+ lbs.) over bumps, dips and bridge approaches and it's held up so far, no bends or cracks. I'll update later if there's a failure. I like the fact that it is lightweight, has double pin locks that are keyed alike, (one for the adjustment height and one for the 2" hitch sleeve) and it won't rust. The balls, of course, are solid steel. I had my reservations about the hitch itself, because it's made of aluminum. The aluminum is milled out with CNC precision, so everything fits snug and I can easily adjust the heights of the hitch to accommodate the trailer height. There's three hitch ball sizes, the 2" and the 2 5/16" which come mounted. I won't be needing the extra 1 7/8", but it's there, just in case.

Works just fine

This hitch is exactly what I was looking for to lower the ball and level off my trailer. It is very versatile with three different size balls and it’s very well made. It will be used for two of my trailers with different sized balls, the 1 7/8” ball was extremely easy to install after removing the 2” & 2 1/2” combination set up. The anti rattle spacers work just as advertised. Highly recommend this hitch if you need a 10” drop to level your trailer.

Used this to lift 8 in so my boat didn’t ground out on my RV

very sturdy. i like the ability to tighten the set screw to eliminate any looseness. only towed once so time will tell but seems good. used on a wrangler jk with a 2.5” lift and 35” tires and it had just enough offset to get my trailer level again.

OK SO THEY PUT RUBBER ANTI RATTLE BLOCKS IN THE KIT THEY WORK WELL BUT WAY BOTHER WHEN THE LOCK PINS ARE SO LONG THEY RATTLE OTHER THAN THAT IT IS WELL MADE AND FITS CLOSER TO THE TRUCK FOR YOUR CHAINS TO WORK UNLIKE THE STEEL ONES

My only disappointment with this hitch, so far, are the hokey locking pins. For one there is a visible pin in the head on the side that captures the double pins, for the adjustable section of this hitch. It looks like you could just drive that pin out and than pull the locking pin out from the locking side, with the lock still attached. I'm not sure if this is true, but you can clearly see a pin there. Also the ends of the pins where the locks attach are very sloppy and it doesn't look or feel like the locking heads are holding on to much. I bet a decent love tap with a hammer or rock would break the end off easily. I was hoping to just use the keyed alike locks I already had, but they aren't long enough for the adjustable part of this hitch. I did swap out the receiver lock at least, so the main part of the hitch is a bit more secure. I'm going to check with the brand of keyed alike pins I already have and see if they have a longer version. I want to give it 5 Stars and for the very reasonable price maybe I should, but if it's not secure I might be buying a second reasonably priced hitch if the current one gets stolen due to hokey locks.
